This is a small cottage in a tiny hamlet high in the hills on the north side of the Stara Planina range. Great for those wanting peace and solitude. The permanent population of the hamlet is five souls, plus a number of sheep, goats, cats and dogs. You reach Troentzi by car from Apriltzi or Sevlievo (there is no public transport). The cottage looks south towards the highest part of the mountain range, the nearest peak being Maragidik. The surrounding area is ideal for walking, and there is a horse-riding centre a couple of kilometres away, down in the valley. The main attraction of Troentzi is its isolation and closeness to nature, while still being within a reasonable distance of a small town.
