The Panorama Complex (completed January 2007), situated in the peaceful holiday village of Stoykite, provides high quality accommodation amidst the truly spectacular scenery and fresh air of the Rhodope Mountains. A new 6-seater chair lift, the biggest and quickest in Bulgaria, has opened in Stoykite itself (1km from the apartment) for the 2008/9 ski season that connects you directly into the Pamporovo ski complex - 2 new pistes from this lift pass within 200 metres of the apartment. As well as offering excellent skiing in winter, the area provides opportunities for walking, biking, fishing and pony trekking in the summer. The charming town of Smolyan, the biggest in the Rhodopi Mountains, is only 14km away, while Plovdiv, Bulgaria's historic 2nd city with its splendid old town and Roman ampitheatre, is only a 1 hour drive away. A highway currently being built will mean that the Aegean sea in Greece will be reachable in just over an hour!

The apartment comprises an open plan lounge/dining kitchen area with everything required for a self-catering family holiday. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a fridge/freezer, electric hob, combination micro-wave and extractor fan. The bedroom comprises a double bed, bedside tables with lamp, triple wardrobe, drawers, mirror and hairdryer. A wardrobe in the entrance area is available for guests sleeping on the sofa bed in the lounge. TVs are found in the lounge and bedroom. The bathroom has a bath with overhead shower, toilet, sink and heated towel rail. Towels and bedding are provided. A large balcony extends from the lounge, with a smaller balcony leading from the bedroom - both have stunning views towards the Rhodope mountains.

The whole apartment benefits from central heating controlled by thermostat.

In winter, chartered flights (e.g. Balkan Holidays, Thomson) are available directly to Plovdiv airport, Bulgaria's 2nd largest city. Transfer from here to the apartment is 1 hour.

Easyjet flies direct from Manchester and Gatwick to Sofia (www.easyjet.co.uk ). Cheap scheduled direct flights from London, Dublin and Manchester to Sofia with Air Bulgaria (www.air.bg) operate throughout the year. Wizzair (www.wizzair.com ) offers regular cheap flights from Luton to the Bulgarian capital. Ryanair (www.ryanair.co.uk) are reportedly planning to starting flights to Plovdiv from the UK in the near future.

The A1 motorway will take you by taxi from Sofia directly to Plovdiv (130km), from where a scenic mountain road will take you the further 80 km to Pamporovo. Transfer time from Sofia is 2.5 hours and the taxi fare is about 100 euros.

The complex offers wonderful views to the highest peaks of the Rhodope Mountain and is surrounded by beautiful pine trees and meadows. The area has a sunny year round climate coupled with plentiful snow between mid-December and mid-April.The charming country town of Smolyan is only 14km away and Bulgaria's historic second city, Plovdiv, with its enchanting old town and Roman ampitheatre is only an hour's drive away. 6km away is the attractive heritage village of Shiroka Laka with its cobbled streets and traditional Rhodpean architecture.Pamporovo is an excellent place to learn to ski; the 20km of piste include an excellent long green run for beginners as well as good blue and red runs. A couple of black runs will tax the most experienced skier. The resort has excellent ski schools.Excursions are available to local geological wonders such as the Uhlovitsa cave and the Devil's Throat.Cycling and walking tours can be arranged locally.

The apartment is newly furnished and fully equipped for family use. Central heating is controlled by thermostat. A laundry service is available from reception. For a small fee occupants can use the complex gym, sauna and jacuzzi. A restaurant and bar is situated on the ground floor.The property benefits from secure parking and 24hr security. Occupants will have access (small fee) to the Perelik Palace next door with its pools, nightclub and restaurants.

25% of rental fee payable as a deposit at the time of booking, remainder to be paid at least one month before starting date of holiday.
