More information can be obtained from our home web site www.apartmentinborovets.com. The apartment will sleep six comfortably; four in two bedrooms; one with double bed and one with bunkbeds, with an additional two people in the living room on a fold-down settee. There is a small kitchen and dining area with a fridge, microwave and hob. The bathroom has a 'conventional' bath tub and a shower within. The apartment has a balcony with a wall surrounding it. Towels and bedding are provided and the apartment is cleaned on a daily basis. The apartment boasts a TV with satellite TV channels, DVD player and music centre - there is a small selection of films and albums to entertain guests. 
 
The apartment is on the third floor of 'Tulip' which is serviced by an elevator and is one of four similar blocks adjacent to the Flora Hotel complex which is about 15 metres away; in the hotel there is a reception area, bank, bar, restaurant and a health spa with pool, sauna and gym offering various beauty treatments and massages. The Hotel also offers ski rental and the main Gondola lift is approximately 50 metres (downhill) from the Hotel - this can be skied when the snow is plentiful. The nursery slopes are a similar distance away over a small road. 
 
The apartment complex is situated centrally within the town of Borovets and all amenities, bars and restaurants are within five minutes walk. There are one or two simple 'supermarkets' selling daily basics and numerous clothing shops selling various skiing accessories. Most of the local's speak excellent English and there is a wide variety of cheap food available. 
 
Bulgaria is one of the newest members of the European Community and situated about three hours flying time from the UK. Borovets is a small town situated just 45 minutes drive south of the capital Sofia. Altlhough it is possible to drive through Europe, the most direct route is to fly into Sofia, transfers to Borovets are easily arranged in advance. It is also possible to fly into Plovdiv in the centre of the country or Thessalonika in northern Greece. The time difference is GMT + 2 (GMT + 3 from the last Sunday in March to the Saturday before the last Sunday in October.  
 
Although a ski resort Borovets is fantastic in the Summer months too. It is situated on the mountains and therefore is a little cooler than the seaside resorts. It is quite and excellent for 'ramblers', some of the restaurants remain open during the summer months and the pools are also open. Tennis, watersports, horse riding are all readily available.
