Vacation Rental Description
This recently refurbished apartment is located in an annex at the back of the historic main house. It looks out over the garden to the forested hills of the Ardennes. The apartment is situated close to the beautiful River Lesse in the pretty village of Resteigne with its chateau, ancient watermill and stone cottages. The Ardennes offer vast open spaces for outdoor activities. As well as many local walks, it is also wonderful countryside for cycling, horseriding and fishing. There is a wealth of local places to visit, including many castles, monasteries and caves. The apartment is a great base for visiting other parts of Belgium and neighbouring countries. Brussels is only one hour to the north and the beautiful medieval city of Bruges can be visited on a day trip. The lovely Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is one hour to the south and from there it is only another half hour to Germany's oldest city, Trier. In addition, France (Champagne-Ardennes region)is just 30 minutes away.

No shops in village but supermarkets in two next villages.
Two restaurants in village by river, several others in nearby villages.
Beautiful walking country, several marked footpaths start in the village itself. Lovely lanes for cycling. Other favourite Ardennes activities are canoeing, horse-riding also possible.
