Our lovely home has a sunny kitchen garden with fountain where breakfast can be enjoyed every morning. An outdoor living room and garden is a beautiful place to relax in the afternoon and evening. The roof top patio is the perfect place to take in city views, the sunset or to sunbath. Our home is 4 blocks from centro where the locals gather in the famous jardin that borders a 17th century cathedral. This Spanish colonial town is a designated historic monument and a national treasure of Mexico. San Miguel de Allende is internationally known as an artist colony and abounds with writers, painters, musicians, dancers and sculptors. The local theater features live theater, music and special events year round. Within an hour bus ride from San Miguel is Quereterro where Maximilian and his wife Carlotta once lived. Spas with natural hot spring pools surround the town. Spanish and art schools are of the highest quality in the historic town.
