The home beautifully combines comfort, art, and luxury in a rustic seaside setting. Distinctive handcrafted furnishings from a variety of artisan traditions, and folkart collected over years of Mexico travel. There is a full gourmet kitchen with all the conveniences, indoor and outdoor dining, and a living room with a complete home entertainment center, with DVD's, Satellite Radio, and inputs for your personal music player. Rooms spill out onto generous covered patios, that open onto beautiful gardens in the private grounds.
There are three cozy suites; each with its own distinctive style, each with a comfortably-furnished covered patio or courtyard, each with a mosquito net canopy bed, overhead fan, and air conditioning. Two fold-away beds also available.
The Fountain Court Suite on the main level of the house opens onto a semi-enclosed garden courtyard, crowned by a colorful, hand-painted talavera fountain. Can be made up as two Twins or one King (specify your preference when you make your reservation).
The Casita Suite, with Queen-size bed, is separated from the main house by a covered breezeway. The grotto-like bathroom is sure to please. The shady slate patio borders an intimate garden, flanked by the campfire area.
The Vista Suite, with King-size bed, boasts the best views of the house—a panoramic outlook from ocean to mountains. The partially covered patio leaves an open stargazing area. Two hammocks on pulley cords descend from the pine-pole rafters on demand. The village of Cabo Pulmo, bordering the reef, was until recently a laid-back fishing village (and a well-kept secret among a handful of in-the-know gringo adventurers!). Today Cabo Pulmo is arguably the most successful off-the-grid community in all of Baja; with five restaurants, three dive centers, fishing guide service, small general store, and a growing community of solar-powered homes; all within easy walking distance of one another.
Experience the moods of the Sea of Cortez and the rhythms of the tropical desert ashore. Whether you’re an active adventure enthusiast or just looking for a relaxing place to catch up on your reading; a veteran scuba diver or contemplating mask and snorkel for the first time; Cabo Pulmo has something for everybody. In addition to diving, snorkeling, fishing, kayaking and windsurfing, there are hiking and mountain biking trails, great bird watching, and desert nature in abundance. Cabo Pulmo even has a tennis club where visitors are welcome. Some of Baja’s best surf breaks are within a 20 mile/40 minute drive. Or just lie in the hammock and tune in to the perfect weather channel.
