In one of the most biologically diverse areas on earth, there is a paradise that only God could have imagined. The Pacific Ocean stretches out to the horizon.  
 
In the distance one can see the tip of Panama across the Gulfo Dulce. Behind you are acres of primary forest teaming with wildlife. Below are magnificent beaches with some of the best fishing and surfing the world has to offer.  
 
Built over 500 feet above the sea, Tres Palmas catches the cooling tropical breezes coming from the Gulfo Dulce and Pacific Ocean. The sound of the surf rolling in the distance, scarlet macaws calling to their mates, while howler monkeys cavort overhead, lull you into a sense of harmony with nature.  
 
In the midst of this spectacular setting, a secluded and exotic house has been built in modern Spanish style under a massive palm thatched roof.  
 
The area was once home to the Brunca Indians that settled in southern Costa Rica and the western part of Panama. Pieces of native pottery can be found by those that care to look. The Indians considered this a holy place and many who stay here find a spiritual peace that is quite uplifting.  
 
Our property is home to four types of monkey, hundreds of bird species, sloth, iguana, anteaters, and a myriad of other animal and plant species. This magical place offers the rare opportunity to experience nature at its most spectacular and unspoiled.  
 
Living area: 
Under a huge, open air, thatched roof which enables you to take in the mesmerizing views of surrounding tree canopies, the ocean, macaws, toucans, and monkeys feeding in nearby trees. There are plenty tropical style furnishings with seating and hammocks for those afternoon naps. A large dining room area with stylish dining table and bar for meals or to gather around and converse about your day in paradise. 
 
BEDROOMS: 
Sleep peacefully with the sounds of the ocean in the background. Each cabina features a vaulted natural wood and beam ceiling and hand carved jungle theme doors. Spanish style tiled floors, a king size bed and an energy efficient ceiling fan. There is also a desk for writing postcards of your adventures to friends and family back home. Each cabina also has a private Spanish style bathroom with an outdoor shower so you may continue to be surrounded by nature. And yes, we do have hot water. Rooms are also equipped with a lockable closet and safe and are screened.  
 
KITCHEN: 
We feature a full, spacious kitchen with refrigerator, separate freezer; large commercial-type propane gas oven, granite countertops, and hand carved cabinetry. All utensils, cookware and dinnerware are provided. 
 
Loft: 
2 queen sized beds, 2 twin beds all with fitted netting. An accommodating bath is located directly downstairs adjacent to the main living area.  
 
Pool/Deck Area: 
Tres Palmas features a horizon style pool which helps one feel as though one is in the midst of the ocean with beach! Pool entries at both ends that can be used for lounging in the Costa Rican sun and deeper water in the middle for a refreshing dip after a day of exploring in the Osa. 
 
Landscaping: 
While staying at Tres Palmas you will be surrounded by of one of the world’s most bio-diverse forests on earth. On the cleared areas, lush tropical flowers such as halaconias, ginger, and other flowering plants are interspersed with many fruit and nut trees – bananas, mangoes, lemon, lime trees to name a few. 
 
Electrical: 
110 volt solar power system for lights, fans radios, TV, etc. 
(Please no hair dryers, curling irons or anything that heats up as these items put a severe drain on the electrical system) 
 
Modern Conveniences: 
Tres Palmas has Direct TV and a DVD Player that includes playing CD’s and MP3’s. We also have Wireless Internet so you’ll never have to be disconnected from the outside world. With the wireless internet, you can call anywhere in the world using SKYPE.

    Activities

    Matapalo is also home to perhaps Costa Rica’s (and the world’s) best inshore and offshore sport fishing. Snook, snapper, rooster fish and countless other species of gamefish can be targeted from Matapalo’s beaches. While just offshore, and within sight of Cabo Matapalo, anglers can chase and catch giant yellowfin-tuna, wahoo, marlin, sailfish, dolphin (Mahi Mahi), African Pompano and many other species this area is world famous for offering. 
    Take in a rain forest tour, on foot or horseback (including world-renown Corcovado National Park). experience the area’s hiking; horseback riding; swimming; and pristine beaches all in one day!
