Newly constructed 2 BR, 2 BA villa with infinity-edge pool, a 3 minute walk from Honeymoon Beach. Grand exterior gallery provides spectacular vistas of turquoise waters and breathtaking sunsets. On three-quarters of an acre, the villa offers privacy and solitude. Cruise ships from the Queen Mary II to Oasis of the Seas sparkle at what seems arms length in the evening.
Arches frame your panoramic view. Direct access to the large pool (with its lap lane, frolic area and pina colada bench) from the MBR, the lanai, and the gallery. Caribbean architectural elements throughout: mahogany cabinets in kitchen and bathrooms, Spanish cedar window frames, and cypress ceiling, and coral stone floors.
Fully equipped kitchen and laundry. Air conditioning, Internet access via AT&T aircard and satellite television. Over 100 titles in videocassette collection and TV's in both bedrooms and living room.
Villa Papaya is conveniently located, a five-minute drive from St. Thomas airport, then a seven-minute ferry ride to the Water Island dock and a one-minute ride to the villa by our Honda CRV.

Air conditioning, for those who like it, is available in each bedroom and the living room. Satellite television is available in the same three rooms, each equipped with flat screen TV's. An air card from AT&T will connect you to the Internet via an AT&T tower on St. Thomas. All appliances, including the kitchen ones, are brand new.
The pool includes a 38-foot lap lane, a large frolic area and built-in benches for 2-4 people who might possibly want to sip their beverages while in the pool. The MBR has its own door, providing direct access to the pool, which is lighted, at any time of day or night, about 15 feet away from the king-size bed!
The second bedroom has two single beds that can be combined. Both bedrooms have en suite bathrooms with two-person showers. The MBR shower has a large window opening out onto the pool and views to the west and a convenient bench inside the shower.

Villa Papaya comes with a Honda CRV for 4-6 passengers. Snorkel sites abound within a 5-minute walk. Kayaks may be rented in nearby Frenchtown. Scuba diving is available where the ferry originates. Deep sea fishing charters are available from Water Island. Sailboat rentals are in nearby Frenchtown and at East End. Water Island is hilly and ideal for hikers and in-shape bicyclists. Don't miss Friday Pizza Night a short walk away. Lunches on Honeymoon Beach allow you to stay on the beach all day. Heidi serves up gourmet dinners on the beach on Saturday evening by under moon and stars. Jimmy offers orange juice, coffee and breakfast sandwiches from his cart at the dock every morning if you feel like not making breakfast. Tennis and golf are available a taxi ride away on St. Thomas. St. Thomas's superb restaurants and duty-free shopping are similarly available either by taxi or a 20-minute walk along the Charlotte Amalie waterfront.

Water Island is American Paradise, an unspoiled island in the harbor of Charlotte Amalie, with its own beach, a quiet retreat where we all get around by golf cart. You can marvel at the lights of St. Thomas and the cruise ships passing so close you feel you can reach out and touch them while enjoying the privacy and security of a world away from the tourist trade. This past winter the Queen Mary II, Oasis of the Seas or one of the other cruise ships would pass through the West Gregory Channel right at dinner time as the sun was setting. We face due West so that the sunsets are memorable! Renowned cook Heidi offers Saturday night dinners on the BEACH! Monday night movies on the BEACH are a Water Island tradition. So is Friday Night Pizza at the Pirates Ridge Deli. Tickles Restaurant and Bar are a 7-minute ferry ride to Crown Bay, as is the Gourmet Gallery for food shopping and wines.
Villa Papaya sits on a rise just up from the ferry dock and just above Honeymoon Beach, a 90-second ride on our golf cart.
