Tucked comfortably on the shoreline of the beautiful island of St. Croix, let the warmth of the sun, the sound of the surf, the chirp of the Sugar birds, and the rustle of the palm trees combine to unwind your body, mind, and soul.
You will soon feel the everyday tensions ebb away and be on your way to the most relaxing vacation stay of your life.
We want you to enjoy your stay on the beautiful island of St. Croix, so we provide all the amenities you would expect in such a paradise. You will be greeted at the airport by our local management service, who will escort you to the home, which is located about 10 minutes west of Christiansted in Judith's Fancy, a private, limited access residential area midway between the two principal golf courses on the island. It takes a few days to settle in and discover all the little things that make the stay more enjoyable. Here are a few tips we have learned over the years:
* Open all the louvres so those tropical breezes can keep you cool and relaxed.
* Walk around the house and down to the pool.
* Venture out to the point to look out at that beautiful sea and soak up the ambience of this setting made in heaven.
* Fill the bird feeder with sugar for your feathered, tropical friends.
* Put a few inches of water in a plastic container from the kitchen and set it out by the feeder -- birds have to bathe too!
Because Honeymoon Cove has three bedrooms and four baths, the rental price is based on the number of people in your party. You will not be sharing the house with another party. You get the entire house, and you only pay for the number of people in your party.
Outside the home you'll find several covered porches and a large sun deck around the private 20' X 40' pool. At dusk we suggest you turn on the lights above the glass shelves, the light over the oil painting and the table light between the two comfortable chairs. This provides a pleasant atmosphere in the upstairs area. If you wish to play cards there is a high intensity halogen light over the dining room table and also above the breakfast table out on the 'Morning deck'.
The 'Evening Deck' is just outside the two upstairs bedrooms and is a great spot to sit and watch the day fade to evening, enjoy the setting sun turn the clouds to pastel shades, and think about all the things you didn't do today!
There are plenty of towels and linens, and maid service is provided weekly. There is also a fully equipped kitchen and a washer and dryer for your convenience.
You'll find all the details attended to, including hairdryers in every bathroom! The Master Suite has a king bed, two comfortable chairs, a TV and an attached bath with double vanity/ bidet and tile shower. There are two additional bedrooms on the lower level, one has a King bed and the other has two Twin beds, each have their own detached bathrooms.
When the home was rebuilt in 1996 after Hurricane Marilyn (we obviously didn't do it right after Hurricane Hugo!), we expanded the pool deck and provided an easy access to the beach with steps and a little bridge. We think you will truly enjoy the 'Junque Beach' -- there is even a little sandy area to spread a blanket and watch the waves roll in!
Located directly on the ocean, the house is completely equipped. We have tried to provide a wide range of books and music for your enjoyment. Under the glass shelf next to the sofa you will find the CD player and quite a few CDs. Adjacent to the CD player you will find the AM-FM stereo and VCR. On top of the stereo you will also find the DMX music receiver, that is hooked into the cable system and has 30 channels, each providing a different variety of music -- from Chamber Music to Rap.
