Perfect vacation home!

"My wife and I stayed at Villa Cecilia in May and had a wonderful time! The house is perfect and is everything we wanted for a vacation home. I don't think there was ONE thing missing that we could have wanted! The pool and the beach are really breathtaking and we couldn't get enough of both! I think the whole week we were there we saw two groups of people, other than that, we had the beach to ourselves! Chrischelle is a great person to get to know and is also a HUGE help - just a phone call away. The island is great and everyone we met was very friendly. Be sure to explore Three Marys Cays - take the road for some off road adventure or just walk down the beach and enjoy the peaceful stroll. The Silver Palm restaurant is very close by and Karen (the owner) will take good care of you. Also try Miss B's for lunch or dinner, Dorothy (the owner) a delight to talk to. This is the only island I've ever been to where the locals remember your name each time you see them, truly a great island. Be sure to try the SNUBA adventure at the Windson Resort in Provo, Jodi will take good care of you and it's the BEST thing to do if you've ever wanted to try diving. Overall we had a great time and would LOVE to go back to TCI one day and stay at Villa Cecilia. It was perfect - thanks Dan!"

Seclusion in Paradise

Date of Stay: June 6, 2010 Review Submitted: July 12, 2010
"If you are looking for seclusion, yet luxury, this is the place for you. Our family of six vacationed at Villa Cecilia and could not have been happier with our stay. The Villa is as beautiful as it looks in the pictures. However, the pictures don't do justice to how peaceful the white powder beach really is. The only tracks in the sand between the Villa and Three Mary Cays for the entire week we were there, were our own. The water just outside the Villa is crystal clear and provided us with days of fun in the sun and snorkeling. The view from the living room is like looking into an aquarium. We have stayed at other rental properties before and the Villa Cecilia owner was by far the most accommodating owner we have dealt with. His immediate response to questions made planning our trip much easier. The properly liaison in Provo was extremely friendly and helpful too. A day trip to Middle Caicos for a short hike to see the secluded cave beaches near the Blue Horizon Resort is a must. The island is the complete opposite of a busy resort and very laid back. We now truly understand the expression "on Island Time". Make sure to try and get the majority of yourself catering supplies in Provo as the grocery options at Whitby are very limited. The Provo IGA doesn't sell alcohol on Sundays, which was the day of our arrival, so you may have to make an additional stop. This review could go on and on, but you must experience it yourself to truly appreciate the property. We highly recommend this property for a kicked back family vacation and can't wait for our return trip!"

Missing Villa Cecilia Already

"Our family enjoyed one of the most fun and relaxing vacations of a lifetime at this beautiful home on the beach of North Caicos. I cannot say enough good things about the house itself-the rooms were comfortable, the kitchen was fantastic, all was fresh, clean, and very accomodating. We enjoyed a lot of snorkeling both off the beach immediately behind the house and at the 3 Mary Cays. We saw an immense amount of sea life which was so amazing for all of us! We threw frisbees, played in the sand, laid out by the pool, cooked marvelous food, and generally re-connected with one another as we lazily passed the days away. The few locals or "belongers" as they are referred to, were incredibly friendly and helpful, and we always felt safe, despite the remote nature of the area. We would love to come back to Villa Cecilia some day soon!"

"Our whole family consisting of 6 adults and 3 small children spent a week in this fantastic home. This is a 5 Star home with every convenience at your fingertips. The ocean is wonderful with great snorkeling and you have the whole beach to yourself. The best hambergers were at the Pelican Beach Resort with a beautiful view. The house manager shopped for us so the refrigerator was stocked with everything we asked for so we did not have to worry about getting groceries from the main island for a week. The small grocery stores close to the house have basics and more like a 7-ll convenience. Bring cash -as most places do not accept credit cards or travelers checks. Safe and very friendly island. The people were wonderful. Thanks for a wonderful stay. "

Paradise for a week

"We stayed at this gorgeous villa 7/10/2010 to 7/171/2010. Thank you for the stay of a lifetime. It's just what it says it is. If you are looking for absolute serenity away from phones, computers, and people for a week.. we had it and it was fabulous. We did not see human life until the Friday before coming home. The water was perfect... the ship wreck out back was picturesque.. we kind of felt like castaways. Pure utter relaxation and rejuvenation abound. A walk to 3 Mary's Cay, sunsets on the water, sunrise walks on the beach; sand castle contests; kite flying. We left behind some floats, a kite and more sand castle tools for the next visitors. Chrischelle was amazing: right there if needed. We opted for grocery delivery and stayed right at the house: husband did all the cooking: which he enjoys since the kitchen reminded us of home. Beds very comfortable... this villa has all the comforts of our home: A pure home away from home: just what we like and certainly needed. Having the pool at the doorstep was fantastic for our daughter: in it 24/7. This is definitely a place we will come back to: next year we are preparing. Thanks for a little piece of paradise!"

Missing the villa already!

"Dan was right on about the villa! The house was beautiful and we felt right at home. They thought about everything anyone would need while vacationing. The location was perfect and we were secluded from the busy hussle and bussle of our everyday life here. We spend most of our time on the beach, whether it was walking, looking for shells, or snorkeling. The swimming pool was nice to jump into after our day in the sun. The couple who went with us saw a huge stingray and was able to take excellent pictures! We taught my husband how to swim and snorkel and I think that was our highlight of the memories. He was always scared of the water, but seemed to be relaxed and calm while there. That one will go down in our memory book for sure! We spent a lot of time sitting out on the back porch at night just enjoying the company of our good friends. We rented a car and went driving down all of the roads. We found some beautiful beaches along the way and saw the pink flamingos. They were too far off, but we happened to have binoculars and a telephoto lens on my camera, so we got to see them pretty good. They were beautiful. We met a lot of the island people and everyone was truly nice. Their personality is so layed back and friendly and they were always willing to help us find whatever we were looking for. We met a gentleman at the ferry named "Somi" and he became a person who we knew would always help us out. He will always be in our thoughts. Dan, thanks for the opportunity to have a week of peace and quiet and kind of get our bearings back. You truly do have a wonderful place and I would love to go back and visit again, maybe next time we will bring the whole family. I know our grandchildren would love the beach. We hated to leave the house, but knew we had to get back to reality! Hope your family is doing well and may God bless you!"

Absolutely Amazing

"This home is incredible! The description and amenities, photos, etc. that Mr. Silva has listed here are not only completely accurate, but they are very humble! The property was very pristinely clean and really felt like home. My new husband and I were married on the beach right outside of the villa. It was a great setting and backdrop and we could not have planned any other way. If you are getting married, we recommend Dee from Elegant Weddings by Dee. She was very accomodating, funny and sweet. Our mothers, aunt and sisters were there for the wedding and they also thought the villa was really special! They are all very well traveled and said that they have never been to such an enchanting place. The beach was completely to ourselves for the entire week. Literally, we saw abolutely no one...no footsteps but ours. We cooked every night. The sunsets each day were incredible...so many shades of pink and orange. The people on North Caicos were so nice and we enjoyed the local rawness of the island. With exception of picking up some wine and food we just stayed at the Villa and relaxed....Chrischelle, the property manager, was very accomodating and would pick up ice and things for us while she was out. All of our communications with the Owners, the Silvas, were extremely pleasant. Overall --- this was a wonderful choice and we will definitely be going back. Don't worry about packing too much. We were only in our bathings suits most of the time! I do recommend bringing a suitcase of dry goods, bar soap, etc. Also, get as much alcohol as you can (I think it is 1 liter or two bottles of wine) at Duty Free if possible -- although these items are not too expensive on the island, you don't want to have to run out to the store because you won't want to leave the Villa and the beach! ... You really can open all the windows and get plenty of cool air - Plus you can hear the sound of the beach and winds which is very relaxing. Thank you Silvas! ". Jolynn and Eric S., Fort Worth, Texas

Great Villa for a Secluded Week

The villa is fantastic. Great features. The beach is also beautiful. We saw 4 people on the beach the entire week. Chrischelle, the on-island manager, gave us excellent service. We had Crischelle bring us fresh grouper from island fishermen on 2 occasions and highly recommend that. We also had her stock the villa with food, wine, etc. and would recommend that. If you are looking for a relaxing low-key trip on a great beach this villa on North Caicos is an excellent choice.

This villa is amazing. From the beautifully decorated villa to the endless white sand beach to the brilliant blue hues of the ocean water - this place is Heaven on Earth. The villa is very clean, lovely and has amazing views of the ocean from many rooms. The beach is as private and secluded as any we've ever seen. We only saw 2 other couples the entire week we were there. We drove all over the island of North Caicos and saw most other rental villas in enclaves of homes with much less privacy. I agree with other reviewers that it is a good idea to have the place provisioned in advance of your arrival. We also brought a suitcase with dry goods - crackers, granola bars, chips, etc. I also recommend bringing some soap, laundry detergent, trash bags, etc. The onsite manager, Chrischelle, was very helpful and even gave us a local cell phone to use during our stay. The Silver Palm is very close and has wonderful food. Be sure to call by noon to place your order for that night. The owner opened up the restaurant for just my husband and me - it was a great experience. I recommend renting a car as the nearest grocery store is a 10 minute drive. Grocery stores have a very limited selection - especially on weekends. New stock arrives on Tuesday afternoon with eggs, milk, cheese, etc. Middle Caicos is worth the 45 minute drive - lots of sites to see and Daniels Cafe is there with great food and atmosphere. The beach at the villa is beautiful and the water is shallow, clear and perfect for snorkeling, swimming or just floating. December winds made the water a bit choppy for us, but we snorkeled anyways and found lots of pretty fish and shells. We even saw an enormous manta ray. You can walk or drive to Three Marys Cay to snorkel- it is about a 40 minute walk on the deserted beach or a 15 minute drive by car. Every year my husband and I search for a secluded, private beach to rest, relax, rejuvenate and get away from the daily stress of life. We leave our 4 young boys with grandparents and go someplace peaceful. Villa Cecilia was by far the most private, relaxing vacation we've ever had (even more so than the private island we rented a few years ago!). Thank you, Dan, for sharing your paradise with us. We will be back!

Beach Lovers Dream

We absolutely loved our time at Villa Cecilia. We had three couples and were looking for a nice, relaxing time. When we stepped into the villa and saw the pool, the beach, and the turquoise water we were taken away. We only saw a handful of people on the beach our entire stay. The insects were not an issue. We used the screenporch during dusk and were even able to enjoy the beach in the moonlight without an issue. You do need to realize that North Caicos is not the place to go if you are looking for an active nightlife or shopping adventures. But if you love a very private beautiful beach and a luxurious villa then this is the place for you. With six adults, we had plenty of space for privacy when desired. We enjoyed playing in the ocean, relaxing on the beach and by the pool, and exploring North and Middle Caicos. We did have the villa stocked with groceries, and would do it again, but would pack some dry goods in our luggage with us next time. It was so very hard to leave such a beautiful place behind. We hope to go back someday with our daughter.
Meet the Silvas
My wife are I are both real estate professionals. We own and manage a number of rental properties in the United States and the Turks and Caicos Islands. We discovered the Turks and Caicos Islands in the year 2000 and have returned every year since. After staying in Providenciales for several years in a row we decided to explore the outer Islands. As a result of our trips, we discovered the Island of North Caicos. It's beaches rivaled those of Grace Bay and the people were extremely friendly. North Caicos is located between the world renowned Island of Parrot Cay and Middle Caicos. We were attracted to its pristine and private sandy beaches. We decided to purchase an oceanfront lot in Pumpkin Bluff and build our "Dream Home": The Villa Cecilia. The Villa is named after my mother.
