Vacation Rental Description
The house is centraly located in Port of Spain.It is close to the American and German Embassy. Walking distance to downtown POS. The large Hotels.
The Trinidad Hilton, The Crown Plaza, Marriot, Kapok and Hyatt Hotels. are all in walking distance.
The Zoo, Presidential Palace and Botanical Garden are all around the Savahna.
You have many restaurants,from local to international food. All in walking distance.
In other words, one word says it all: Location-Location-Location. (OK, 3 words.)
On the property is a second house, seperate from the main house. This makes it an ideal place if you are going with a larger group and like to have a space to sometimes be alone for a moment.
The smaller house has 2 bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and living room. It can sleep 4-6 people.
It has also Internet and Cable.
The place can also be rented by itself.
The Cricket Stadium is in walking distance. You will not have to worry about getting to the matches late or where to park your car.
Driving in Port of Spain has become as bad as any other large metropolitan city in the world.
The football (soccer) stadium, you guessed it, is also in walking distance.
The house is furnished as a home away from home and you have all the conveniences that you are used too at home.
Washing machine, dryer, iron, etc., etc.
You have several big Shopping Malls not to far from the house.
The house is a 30 minute drive from Piarco Airport. We can assist you with transportation if you like, or you can make your own arrangements.
We have some nice drivers who bring our guests now for many years to the house. The rates for the taxi are posted at the airport.
We will give you their names and you can talk to them directly, if you like to do that.
I always encourage this, so you know what to expect when you arrive. No hassles.
The house is easy to keep clean. Someone will be at the house when you arrive to hand you the keys and show you some of the things you have to know about the place.
Remember in Trinidad you have the metric system and drive on the left side of the road.
All your electric stuff can be used in Trinidad as the voltage is the same as in the USA.
You also have Celcious, instaed of Fahrenheit.
You will receive the house in clean condition and good order.
We suggest that you use the lady we have for this to clean the house after you finished your vacation.
The charge for this is $50.00 US and will be billed to you at the time of your rental.
We take Credit Cards, Bank Transfers, Western Union Payments or Personal Checks.
The total rental price has to be paid in full 1 week before you start your vacation.
Personal Checks, 2 weeks.
A down payment of $300.00 is required to secure your rental.
If there is no deposit, we will not block the place for you.
One last piece of advice for anyone who has not visited Trinidad or Tobago before.
Special if you come from the States.
Life in Trinidad is on a much slower pace as in the US.
Relax and enjoy your time there. After a few days you will get used to Trinidad time, always late and enjoy it.

Rental $1,000.00 $1,500.00 per week. Front house. The price is based on the occupancy of 2 guest. Each extra guest will be charged $300.00 per week. Up to 4 guest, for a total of 6 guest. A $300.00 deposit is required to secure the dates you request and block the dates you for you. The smaller house: $700.00 per week, 2 Guest. $250 for each additional guest per week, for maximum 4 guest. A $300.00 deposit is required to block your dates. Rentals are by the week for the front house. The smaller house can be rented for a minimum of 4 days. More and more people are starting to realize that renting a home is better value for your money as staying in a hotel. I take Credit Card, Personal Check, PayPal, Money order as payment options. Why settle for a room when you can have a whole house.
The first time I rented a place for a vacation was in Holland.
I was getting tired of not being able to get a cup of tea late at night without having to pay a ransom for a pot with hot water and a couple of tea bags, or something to eat if you came back late to the hotel and the restaurant was closed.
The experience I had on the Island of Tessel in Holland was very positive. I could get whatever I wanted any time of the day and I could make my food the way I like it.
For the days I did not feel like cooking we went to a restaurant.
This brought me the idea of doing something simular with my place in Port of Spain, Trinidad.
I have owned the house since 1960.
I live in New York and the house was empty most of the time.
My husband, Hendrik, encouraged me to try it as a vacation rental.
Several of our guest have been coming back over the years when visiting Trinidad. We made new friends among them.
I have no reviews on this website, as it is the first time I advertise here.
