Vacation Rental Description
Built in 2008 to a very high standard, Turtle Beach House is a few steps from Turtle Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on St Kitts, with great coral reef snorkelling, and which is home to the exclusive Beach House Restaurant ('One of the island's premier dining destinations', Fodors). Also nearby are Cockleshell Beach, Banana Bay, Sandy Bank Bay and South Friar’s Bay, all stunning beaches to explore and enjoy. The house has the most breathtaking views from sunrise to sunset, and sits in a private gated garden with a gazeebo, 22ft infinity swimming pool, plus a large pool deck and verandah where you can sunbathe or eat al fresco at the huge teak table.

Turtle Beach House covers an impressive 2000sq ft, and includes the spacious living area (24ft x 18ft) which is beautifully furnished with vibrant soft furnishings.
Wide patio doors open on to the large decked verandah where it's a delight to dine or sunbathe. The whole house gives a wonderful feeling of space, through which the Caribbean breeze drifts, providing a natural cooling effect.
If you need contact with the outside world, there is a desk with broadband access and a telephone in the study area, plus cable TV in the lounge
The gorgeous fully fitted kitchen (15ft x 15ft) is big enough to eat in, or you can pass drinks out to the bar on the pool deck. And for those necessities in life there is a utility room with large capacity washer, dryer and a utility sink.
There are 3 double bedrooms on the first floor. The impressive air-conditioned master bedroom features a 6ft wide mahogany four poster bed (UK Super King Size / US King Size) with a private balcony. The ensuite bathroom includes a large walk in glass block shower and double Jacuzzi bath. There is also a separate toilet, and a washroom with double basins set in a granite counter top, and a walk in closet leading off the master bedroom.
The second and third bedrooms both have new double 5ft wide pocket sprung beds (US Queen Size / UK King Size), and each has ample wardrobe and storage space.
All bedrooms have fans, vents and fantastic vaulted ceilings. There are also two 5ft sofa beds in the lounge which could sleep a further 2/4 people.
Chidren are welcome at Turtle Beach House, and for smaller people there is a play pen and a travel cot available for your use.
Having four young children of our own who regularly visit the house, you'll find various pool toys, kites, bats and balls, and board games to help keep them occupied.
Nearby Turtle Beach is a great place for kids to explore and play. The water is perfect for novice swimmers, or for those more advanced, there's the reef to snorkel over and discover beautiful fish, lobsters and if you're really lucky a friendly turtle or a ray
Other popular activities for children on the island include horse riding, jet skiing, hikes and zip lines in the rainforest, quad biking, and loads more (see 'Things to Do' for more details)
And when you want an evening to yourself we can recommend a reliable babysitter, who is a certified teacher/principal, first aid trained, and has years of experience working with newborns to teenagers in the US

Having built the house as a second home for our family,the house is very well equipped to a high standard
Activities
Nature lovers will want to take advantage of the various tours to the volcano (dormant!), tropical forest areas, and seaside lagoons. Boating tours and scuba diving expeditions are also favourites.
Other activities include a tour of the island on one of the old sugar train routes, quad biking, kayaking, snorkelling, or deep sea fishing trips.
If you prefer to discover some of the history of the island you could visit one of the plantation homes which have been transformed into exclusive, intimate hotels and restaurants, or Brimstone Hill Fortress.
Quaint shopping areas and beautiful Colonial architecture draw visitors to the capital Basseterre, which is a perfect place to explore, or just sit with a cold drink and watch the world go by...slowly

Welcome to your Caribbean escape
We first visited St Kitts in 2005 with our four young children on a family holiday. It was a great adventure, and we immediately fell in love with the island, the people, and most of all the magical location at Turtle Beach
We were incredibly lucky that the lot nearest the beach was available for sale during our first visit, and we could immediately visualize just strolling out of our garden and onto the warm sand! The house that we built is designed to fully benefit from the stunning views of Nevis, and while it has all the modern facilities that you would expect from a luxury villa, it also has a traditional Caribbean charm to it

Relaxing in the pool or lazing in a hammock and enjoying the amazing views of Nevis. The peaceful location, the lovely beaches on the surrounding South Peninsula, and the great snorkeling nearby.
