Colina de Brisas (Hill of Breezes), is a large, quiet, private hillside vacation rental located above the town of Isabel Segunda on the island of Vieques, Puerto Rico. Vieques is a small, unspoiled Caribbean island off the Eastern coast of Puerto Rico. The huge wrap around verandah provides sweeping, panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean from the mainland of Puerto Rico to the other small Puerto Rican island Culebra. Conde de Mirasol is a short 5 minute walk from the house. Here you can learn the history of Vieques.
Colina de Brisas is a hillside vacation rental that sits on almost an acre of land with plenty of tropical fruits, trees and plants. On the Eastern side (flat side) of the property you will find aloe plants, coconut, calabash (gourd), mango and grapefruit trees. On the Western side of the property you will find more mango trees, pineapple plants, banana tree plus shaded hammocks for relaxing.
The living room area has a 27" TV with a DVD/VCR player. There is a library of movies for you to choose from as well as books and games to enjoy when you return in the evening. A Playstation2 with some games is also available. Every room in the house has a ceiling fan to take full advantage of the tropical breezes. October 2006 - the house is now fully air conditioned - just in case those breezes are not enough!
Colina de Brisas has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths and sleeps up to 7 adults comfortably. There is also a crib for a maximum of 8. The master bedroom has a large en suite bathroom and king size bed. The middle bedroom has a queen size bed and shares the other full bath. The third bedroom is decorated brightly with fun art and has a full size bed and a twin platform bed.
The large kitchen is fully equipped with a stove and range, full size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, blender and all necessary kitchenware. Pick some fresh fruit right on the property or visit the fruit & vegetable truck 2 minutes down the road. Make yourself at home and try your hand at cooking a real Puerto Rican dinner from the local Vieques cookbook. There is also a charcoal BBQ available for grilling.
The large wrap around verandah provides awesome panoramic views of the Atlantic. Tables and chairs provide a place to sit with a cup of coffee in the morning or a cool drink in the evening to enjoy the view and the cooling trade winds. Let the cooling Caribbean trade winds carry away all your worries, see a breathtaking sunset, enjoy the fort lit up at night or watch the late ferry arrive from Puerto Rico. Listen to all of the nightlife and see if you can pick out the unique "co-qui" sound.
