Vacation Rental Description
Hummingbird Hill suites are set in a very quiet and picturesque location in 1.5 acres of orchard and gardens. There are 2 suites only ensuring privacy and seclusion for those who do not wish to be on a complex. It is situated in the north of the island approx 3km from the town of Sauters overlooking Levera Bay.
The roof terrace gives magnificent views over the Caribbean Sea and Windward Islands. A Continental breakfast is included, Full English breakfast available. Self-catering facilities in the form of a BBQ with additional double gas hob provide all that is necessary for delicious alfresco lunches and dinners in the Caribbean.
A wide selection of fresh, local fish is available i.e. tuna, oceangar, marlin, red-snapper etc. at approx 3 US dollars per lb. Local supermarkets provide fruit, veg, salad and general provisions. It is a 10 minute walk to the beautiful and usually deserted Levera beach, one of the leading nesting sites for the leatherback turtles.
Facilities
Unit 1, 1 Bedroom Guest Suite:
Consists of a roomy, well lit and airy double bedroom, all windows are screened. It has a 4' wide wardrobe with shelves and hanging. The bed is queen size with mosquito net above, shelves on each side of the bed with reading lamps. There is a very adequate ceiling fan.
There are tea/coffee making facilities, fridge and wall cupboard with crockery and utensils.
The fully tiled bathroom has a toilet, wash-basin, mirror and towel rail. There is a roomy walk-in shower.
Unit 2, 1 Bedroom Guest Suite:
A well lit, airy double bedroom - all windows are screened. It has twin beds with bedside shelf and reading lamps. Each bed has its own mosquito net. The wardrobe is 3' wide with hanging space and shelves. There is a very adequate ceiling fan. There are tea/coffee making facilities, fridge and wall cupboard with crockery and utensils.
The fully tiled bathroom has a toilet, wash-basin, mirror and towel rail. There is a roomy walk-in shower.

Coast/Beach
Our nearest beach is Levera beach is a 10 minute walk away.
Sauters beach is approx 2 miles.
Bathway beach is approx 5 miles away and has beach bars and large lagoon for safe swimming.
Further details:
Sauters caters for most shopping and banking needs. There is a produce market on Friday and Saturday, and several restaurants. The town is renowned for "Carib's Leap" - the famous spot where the brave Carib warriors leapt to their death rather than surrender to the French in the mid-seventeenth century.
The River Antoine Rum Distillery boasts the oldest working water wheel in the Caribbean - it is well worth taking the guided tour - a step back in time. There is a restaurant set in beautiful grounds.
Grand Etang Forest reserve. Rain forest, waterfalls and walking trails. Grand Etang Lake is the crater of an extinct volcano.
