Vacation Rental Description
On a lovely location overlooking the sea on Dominica's northeast coast, these five cottages are an eco tourist delight. We rely on solar electricity and solar hot water panels for all the electrical needs in the cottages as well as composting and trying to be environmentally friendly.
Self catering , totally equipped for short or longer term holidays each cottage is slightly different in size and design. All are spacious and airy with cathedral ceilings and tiled throughout. with full kitchens, bathrooms, sitting rooms and balcony's . There is plenty of space for families in the larger cottages and the smaller cottages provide a romantic getaway for couples.
. All the cottages except the Studio have cable TV,and CD players/radio and each is provided with a cell phone and free wifi for those who have their laptops.
All the kitchens are fully equipped with crockery , coffee makers, juicers etc. Towels and linens are provided as well.
We are on a country lane along the sea and the grounds are planted with fruit trees, flowers and palms. With three acres everyone has their privacy to enjoy the outdoors
The views are wonderful as we look down on Hodges Bay and river with the mountains to the south. The beach is about a five minute walk down the path and there you can find a small reef for snorkeling, sandy beach for swimming and a fresh water river to dive into and rinse off after your sea bath. There are several other beaches within walking distance for swimming as well as places to hike and explore. A lovely secluded waterfall and pool is found about three miles away which is a perfect spot to swim and picnic. If you walk up into the hills behind Sea Cliff you will find small farms growing banana, citrus , avocado and root crops. The narrow roads wind along the top of the ridges. Parrots can be found nesting in the trees and the views looking over the mountains and down to the sea are truly breathtaking. The new Watikubulu Trail has now been completed in Dominica and fast becoming a well known destination for serious and day hikers
Woodfordhill beach and Turtle Beach , about two miles away, are known for the giant sea turtles coming in to lay their eggs. An incredible sight if you are lucky enough to be there at the right time.
The village of Calibishie is about a mile or a twenty minute walk .There you will find restaurants, grocery stores and post office. The people are friendly and helpful so it is easy to make contact and learn about the diverse culture of this island.
Every morning except for Sundays the bread truck comes by with fresh bread and cakes delivered right to your door. We also have vegetable trucks stopping by during the week as well as fishermen on the main roads selling their catch.
Sea Cliff is a place to relax, hike, swim, birdwatch and learn about the wonders of the land. Photographers and artists will be delighted with the scenery as will everyone else

- Travel Info: Daily connections can be made from our neighbouring islands such as Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua, St. Martins etc. with LIAT airlines. You can book online with LIAT. WinnAir flies in daily from ST. Martins and the ferry comes in three and four times a week from Guadeloupe and Martinique.
There is also a plane , AirAwack that flies direct from Martinique three times a week.
