Vacation Rental Description
This spacious, comfortable and stylish self-catering 2-bedroom apartment is in a modern apartment building located on the beautiful West Coast of Barbados in the popular parish of St. James. The apartment building contains 2 two-bedroom apartments on the top floor and 4 one-bedroom apartments on the ground floor. Located in a peaceful, modern, residential neighbourhood and away from noisy traffic, it is the ideal place for the budget conscious family or for someone who just wants to get away from it all. Even so, you are still never far away from the good things the West Coast has to offer: fine dining, exotic bars, water sports, lovely beaches and good shopping. These high quality apartments provide the conveniences necessary for a comfortable and enjoyable stay at very reasonable rates. You can relax and watch TV, choosing form movie, sports, news, network and information channels. Alternatively, you may prefer to browse the internet (computer not provided). In the evening, you can relax in the patio and watch exotic birds fly by in the garden. You will find that these apartments are great value for your money. Guests always speak with pleasure of their enjoyable stays here.All windows have security bars and insect screens. There are quiet modern air-conditioners in the bedrooms and ceiling fans in the bedrooms and living/dining room. The living/dining area is tastefully decorated and has comfortable, fully upholstered armchairs and 1 dining table with 6 chairs. The bedrooms are spacious and have queen size beds and large fitted wardrobes. There is an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub and shower. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. The apartment has its own laundry room with a washing machine and cupboards. There is a patio, where you can sit and relax, while enjoying the sunset and cooling breezes. The lawn and gardens are well maintained and have beautiful flowering plants. Although smoking is not allowed in the apartment, you can smoke in the patio or in the garden. Maid service is not provided, but it can be arranged at an extra cost. The apartment is fully cleaned and fresh towels and linen are provided before guests arrive.
BEACH
The beach is about 200 metres away from the property. This very beautiful sandy beach is fringed by the placid waters of the Caribbean Sea. At this beach, you can enjoy many water sport activities such as swimming, scuba diving and snorkelling. This is only one of the many lovely beaches which can be found along the West Coast. Many of the other beaches also offer water sports activities.
SPORTS
There are many sporting activities located not far away that will delight the sports enthusiasts. There are tennis courts, located less than 2 km away and 2 international golf courses, located 2 to 3 km away.
RESTAURANTS AND BARS
About 300 metres away you will find the famous Lone Star Bar and Restaurant and the Fairmont Royal Pavilion Hotel, where you can enjoy fine dining. About 2 km away In the Holetown and Sunset Crest areas, there are many other fine restaurants.
SHOPPING AND OTHER ACTIVITIES
In Holetown and Sunset Crest, you will find good shopping, a supermarket, banks, a post office a police station, a 24 hour medical centre, a gas station, and thriving nightlife.
TRANSPORT
A car is not essential, but if you want to visit inland areas, you may find it more convenient to hire a car. Good bus transport is available on the nearby West Coast road, which is about 200 metres away. There you can get a bus going south along the West Coast road to Holetown and Bridgetown or north to Speightstown. The trip to Bridgetown by bus takes about half an hour, during normal traffic conditions. From Bridgetown, you can get a bus going to any part of the island. Taxis are available at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion Hotel and in Sunset Crest and Holetown, as well as other nearby locations.
Facilities
There is a quiet modern air-conditioner in each bedroom and ceiling fans in the bedrooms and living/dining room. The living/dining area is tastefully decorated and includes 3 fully upholstered armchairs, 1 table with 6 chairs, 1 coffee table, a centre table, cable TV, DVD player, telephone and broadband internet access. The bedrooms have two large fitted double wardrobes, queen size beds, telephones, internet access and cable-TV access. There is an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub and shower. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. It has plenty of cupboard space and includes a four burner stove with a large oven, fridge with a freezer, a microwave oven and other appliances and equipment that are necessary for a comfortable stay. The apartment has its own laundry room with a washing machine and cupboards. It has a patio, where you can sit and relax, while enjoying the sunset and cooling breezes. There is parking space for 6 cars.
Activities
You will find many sporting activities nearby. There are tennis courts less than 2 km away, where you can play tennis for a fee. The Royal Westmoreland and Sandy Lane golf courses, two of the finest in the Caribbean, are 2 to 3 km away. There is a cricket ground where you can watch a cricket game on weekends during the cricket season
The famous Lone Star Bar and Restaurant and the Royal Pavilion Hotel, where you can enjoy fine dining are less than 300 metres away. About 2 km away, in Holetown and Sunset Crest, you can choose from many popular bars, cafes, internet cafes, fast-food restaurants and other restaurants offering à la carte dining. There you will find fine Indian, Thai, Chinese and other exotic restaurants as well as restaurants serving local dishes.
In Holetown and Sunset Crest, you will find good shopping, a supermarket, banks, a post office, a police station, a 24 hour medical centre, a gas station, and good nightlife.
