Vacation Rental Description
'Starfish' is a one double bedroom self catering apartment located in Sunset Crest, Holetown, on the Platinum West Coast of Barbados. This traditional Caribbean dwelling has been refurbished to a high standard and now provides a contemporary beach retreat,incorporating everything guests would want from a self catering holiday.
There is a spacious lounge with comfortable sofa,chair and coffee table,satellite TV and a CD player with MP3 and Ipod connection provide entertainment,an overhead fan and a freestanding fan keep the lounge cool,french doors lead out onto a large outside terrace,this overlooks the tropical garden where hummingbirds are often seen;a dining table and seating for four plus bbq are perfect for candlelit al fresco dining.
The kitchen area is well equipped with a full size cooker,fridge freezer,washing machine, microwave,toaster and electric kettle.
The bedroom, decorated in cool turquoise and white is very relaxing,a large double bed,plenty of wardrobe space,a full length mirror, powerful hairdryer,air conditioning and a overhead fan,plus a radio for late night listening complete the comfort of this room.
Plenty of fresh linen and towels are stored in a seperate cupboard in the bedroom for use during your stay.
From the bedroom a door leads to the en-suite shower room.
For guests wishing to rent a car there is an allocated parking space.
Guests at 'Starfish' also benefit from free membership at 'The Beach House' which allows access to their private member's swimming pool with use of sunloungers.
A small safe has also been installed in the apartment.
Facilities
Free use of the pool at 'The Beach House' which is a private members only facility, is included in the rental of this apartment. A small safe has benn installed in the apartment for safekeeping of passports credit cards etc. There is no extra charge for Air-Con.
Activities
In Holetown and the surrounding area there are plenty of things to do,a ten minute walk brings you to Folkestone Marine Park,great for diving and snorkelling,Holetown beach is five minutes from the apartment as are all the shops,restaurants and bars.
If you would like to try a day out on a catamaran this can easily be arranged and is a great way to see the coast and swim with the colourful fish.
There are several golf courses in the area including Sandy Lane and Royal Westmoreland.
Chattel Village is the place to go for unusual gifts and has a gourmet shop,useful for stocking up on little luxuries for lunch or dinner.
The tennis courts are located just behind Chattel Village.

- Travel Info: The apartment is a 15-20 minute drive from the airport,depending on the traffic. It is easy to either rent a car or take a taxi after you clear customs,taxis are regulated and there is a price list posted at the terminal. Once in Holetown buses are frequent and cheap or there is a taxi rank a few minutes walk from the apartment.
