Hamiltons, the town where the cottage is located, is a lovely, peaceful community, perfect for unwinding. The people are friendly, but respect your privacy. Green rolling hills shelter the town from the Atlantic ocean, which you can hear on a calm evening. The famous dramatic limestone caves of Hamiltons are located under these hills and if you travel just a few minutes to the south and inland, you'll find the mysterious Dean's Blue Hole. Here a number of Free Diving world records are set and if you are lucky you may even see the free divers training there. The Atlantic coastline offers spectacular views and great walking or exploring opportunities.  
 
The Blue Cottage is the ideal place to stay if you want to relax but get a feel for real island style living. Your nearest neighor is the landlord who is alway available to assist with just about anything. Laundry facilities are available and you ave access to a fully equipped kayak. Want to purchase fresh seafood - there are a few fish houses nearby where you can buy fresh fish or lobster. Numerous small family run places where you can sample delighful down home Bahamian food and enjoy a variety of local beer.  
 
If you like fishing the flats or want to try deep sea fishing, many options are avialble. We can assist you with arrangements or you can make your own.
