Woodland Cedars Family Cottage Resort provides fully furnished family, accommodations in a friendly cottage court of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom cottages.  
 
The cottages are nestled among the trees in a park-like setting, with several play areas for children. The resort is less than a 1 minute walk to beautiful Woodland Beach on Georgian Bay, part of the longest fresh water sand beach in the world.  
 
Our cottages are housekeeping cottages. They are equipped with a fridge, stove, microwave, propane BBQ, TV, full cable, coffee maker and filters, toaster, pots and pans, dishes and cutlery, utensils, dish soap, dish cloth and towel, salt & pepper, ice cub trays, garbage bags, toilet paper, broom, dust pan and mop. The beds come with a mattress cover, blanket, pillows and pillow covers. You supply the sheets or sleeping bags, any extra blankets and towels. 
 
In the summer we have a campfire in the cottage court every night at no cost and it is open to all the guests. We have roasters for you to use to roast marshmallows and hot dogs. 
 
There are 2 playgrounds for the children. One of them is surrounded by sand, the children love to play in there, they build sandcastles and roadways for the toy cars. The play structure has 3 regular swings, a tire swing, a climbing rope and a suspension bridge. We have basketball, stilts, soccer balls, various children’s toys, bicycles, tetherball and new this year an outdoor ping pong table. 
 
The beach is a 1 minute walk down the lane and we have wagons for you to help take your belongings to the beach. The water is shallow and sandy, great for the children to play. 
 
Check in is anytime after 3 pm and check out is by 11 am.

Local attractions include the quaint town of Elmvale, the Elmvale Jungle Zoo (truly Elmvale’s best kept secret), Horseback Riding at the Rounds Ranch, Drive In Theatre, and the Elmvale Country Flea Market. 
Close to Shopping and Restaurants.  
 
The resort is approximately a 10 minute drive to Beach Area 1 (the main strip) of Wasaga Beach and minutes from Mini Golf and Go-Karting at Wasaga 500, Paintball Adventure, Waterworld Water Park and Slides, Nancy Island Museum and the Simcoe County Museum.  
 
A short drive to Collingwood, Midland and Penetaguishene where you can explore Scenic Caves Nature Adventures, the Candy Factory, historical Sainte Marie Among the Huron, Discovery Harbour, Martyrs’ Shrine, 30,000 Island Cruises and Huron Indian Village Museum.  
 
If you would like to Golf or hit some balls at the driving range try Baywood Golf and Country Club and Big Shot Driving Range in Wasaga, Brooklea Golf & Country Club in Midland, and Springwater Golf Course in Barrie.  
 
Don't forget about all of the local winter activities, Blue Mountain and Snow Valley Sking and Tubing, the fabulous snowmobiling and hiking on Tiny Trails and the Maple Syrup Festival and fall fair of Elmvale.

All amounts are in $CDN. Taxes of 10% are not included. Weekly rates are discounted by 1 night Propane BBQ's are included. Linens upon request are $10 per bed Weekly rental during July & Aug are Sat to Sat Long Weekend rentals may vary. We offer group discounts and for reservations of 3 or more weeks. We can accomodate 42 people. A $200 deposit is requested for weekly rentals and $50 for nightly rentals. The deposit is due upon booking by visa or MC or within 10 days if paying by cheque or money order. The balance is due at check in by cash, Visa, MC or money order. Refund Policy: Full refund of your deposit will be made when given notice of cancellation 45 or more days prior to your arrival date. If notice is given less than 45 days prior to arrival and we are able to re-rent the cottage, we will refund the deposit less a $50 fee. No refund with less than 14 days notice.
