A family built and owned property since the 1950s, this cottage has been upgraded and decorated to create the best of old and new; charming painted wood floors, antique furnishings, newly installed shower, self-sufficient kitchen, and breathtaking ocean views. The house sleeps 1 to 5 people and is the perfect retreat for travelers and small families.

Take in the majestic beauty of Eastern Canada from the front porch or stroll through this quaint Oceanside community. Relax at the end of the day in the natural surroundings amidst a beautiful area in Nova Scotia. A small post office in Ketch Harbour is located along Ketch Harbour Road, just up from the cottage within easy walking distance. There is a general store, Mishoo Variety Store, with take out food and a liquor store. It is located further south along Ketch Harbour Road towards Sambro and Crystal Crescent Beach.

Your greeter and host, Edie Jones owner, “Ketch the View” Property Management Services will oversee the care of the cottage prior to your arrival and after your departure. Edie will open the cottage, supply you with keys, and take care of bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen linens. You are responsible for keeping the cottage tidy, fridge and cupboards emptied, and garbage collected prior to leaving. Respect and courtesy towards the next guests visiting is appreciated and expected.

Further instructions regarding garbage disposal and recycling during your stay will be provided. Edie is a Nova Scotia Native and can help with directions or recommended tourist attraction sites.

Deck with an ocean view, TV, DVD player and some DVDs, CD Player, Gas Grill BBQ, Cooking Utensils, Linens Provided, Microwave, Cottage phone is for local and collect calls only, Self sufficient kitchen

Plenty of Beaches for Fishing, Swimming & Surfing. Biking, Boating, Cinemas and the Neptune Theater in Halifax, Fishing, Golf, Hiking, Horseback Riding, Museums, Whale Watching, Restaurants with fabulous lobster, pan fried haddock, scallops etc., Shopping and Antiquing, Sightseeing, Wildlife Viewing, Blueberry picking (August), Day tripping. The Cabot Trail in Cape Breton is about a 3-hour drive from the cottage.

The Tenant shall pay the Owner total rent in the sum of $750.00 (Canadian funds) per week of rental which includes all utilities, plus a security deposit of $250.00. The security deposit will be returned providing no damage is done to the Rental Property or its contents, and the Rental Property is to be left in the same condition as it was in at Check-In Time. A $25.00 service charge will be charged for any returned cheques. Weekly Rent will be paid as follows: Deposit paid at time of reservation: $375.00 Second installment to be paid minimum 7 days prior to arrival with signing of this agreement: $375.00 Security deposit to be paid minimum 7 days prior to arrival with signing of this agreement and refundable as per the agreement: $250.00 Total Weekly Rent Plus Security Deposit: $1,000.00 Confirmation of the reservation will be mailed, faxed, or e-mailed to the Tenant upon receipt of the deposit.
