Vacation Rental Description
“Welcome home” to Wallace House, a self-catered vacation suite located between Victoria and Sidney in beautiful Saanichton. Perfectly located, we are only 10 minutes away from the famous Butchart Gardens, Victoria International airport, the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal, and the Anacortes Ferry Terminal. Victoria is an easy 20 minute drive away. Sidney is even closer, a 10 minute drive. Wallace House is situated on over half an acre, surrounded by farm land (the largest daffodil farm in Canada) and other acreages. Although we are in the country, we are an easy walk to a major grocery store, banks, restaurants, coffee shops and all other amenities. Our area is in the midst of walking and bicycling routes and trails. We have views across the farm land to the ocean, Gulf Islands and Mount Baker. Our guests can walk to a local beach in about 20 minutes. Our self-catered vacation suite is a lower level unit, (access by stairs) with over 1,100 square feet of bright, comfortable living, suitable for couples or families, up to four people. We supply kitchen appliances and utensils for all your cooking needs, including coffee and tea. Breakfast supplies for your first morning are provided. Laundry facilities are also available. There is no smoking on the premises.
We are located between Victoria and Sidney on the Saanich Peninsula, about a 10-minute drive to the world famous Butchart Gardens.

Activities
Our suite is close to bicycle and walking trails, including the Lochside Trail into Victoria, which connects to the Galloping Goose Trail into Sooke. We have bicycles to lend. We are close to many beaches. From Sidney, a water taxi will take you to beautiful Sidney Spit (a National Park) for a day trip, or go on an exciting whale-watching boat. Sidney has underwater reefs for scuba-diving. From Swartz Bay, you can take ferries to each of the Southern Gulf Islands to explore, or just go for a scenic mini-cruise. World-famous Butchart Gardens is a 10-minute drive from the suite. Victoria, British Columbia's capital is the City of Gardens and is a 20-minute drive from our place.

- Nearest Town : Saanichton at 1 kilometers distance
- Travel Info: We are easily accessible to the BC Ferries and the Victoria International Airport. We are also close to the Anacortes-Sidney Ferry from Washington State and about a 30-minute drive from the Port Angeles Ferry Terminal arriving in Victoria.

We loved staying at Wallace House! The suite was large, very clean and extremely quiet. The hosts were very helpful and had lots of suggestions for siteseeing. Sidney was beautiful, and we enjoyed strolling down Beacon Avenue and poking in the shops. The hot tub was perfect for the end of a busy day. Thank you, Gloria and Kirk, for sharing your lovely home with us! B.C.)

Excellent accomodation and wonderful hosts! Beautiful views and a lovely quiet location but within easy reach of all 'attractions'. Can't wait to go back! Really felt like part of the family! Thank you Gloria and Kirk for everything

Our stay at Wallace House was most enjoyable. Gloria was extremely helpful without being invasive. The little details from condiments in the fridge to the fresh cut flowers on the dining room table made our stay so special. This is much better than a cramped hotel room. As we were visiting our son who moved to Victoria last December, we wanted to make a home cooked meal. The kitchen is roomy with lots of counter space to work. We also enjoyed playing cards around the dining room table. I would highly recommend a stay at Wallace House.

We have stayed in numerous vacation suites (VRBO) and have to admit that they all pale in comparison to Wallace House. The clean and spacious apartment is like having a home away from home.........only better. Gloria and Kirk's hospitality and knowledge of the area makes everything seem so easy. Their willingness to accommodate us in every way was beyond comparison. The attention to detail (local maps, The Wallace House information guide) is excellent. Everything from the Hot Tub to the best equipped kitchen we have ever seen, simply makes this a place we will definitely return to. All we can say is Thank-You Gloria and Kirk!!!!!
