Travel and explore the quaint village of Tofino from attractive and affordable suites at Summerhill Guest House. Located between sandy Pacific Ocean beaches and the town of Tofino, our custom built cedar home provides a private "home base" for families and couples visiting the West Coast of Vancouver Island.
With convenience in mind, our self-contained guest suites provide an inexpensive option to eating out every meal. Find fully equipped kitchenettes in both the Kitchen Garden Suite and our brand-new Sunset Suite (check this one out surfers!), and a bar fridge & well-supplied microwave cart in the Rose Room. While the suites are all self-catered, you will find an assortment of breakfast "fixings" to get you started in each. And although, for complete privacy, each accommodation occupies a separate area of the main floor (we live on the 2nd floor), they may be easily combined for use by larger groups.
Bordering the Tofino Botanical Gardens, our family owned-and-operated guest house is at the end of a quiet, low-density residential area. Our property views include a neighboring bird sanctuary (on an 80-acre forest preserve and wildlife management area), the surrounding natural rainforest, and Melody's flower gardens. From our front porch we frequently sight blue herons, bald eagles, and osprey soaring above the treetops. Blackbears, raccoons, and other wildlife are often close at hand!
From our .7 acre lot, we are just minutes away from MacKenzie's and Chesterman's Beach, & 3 km south of the town of Tofino. On a nearby cycling/walking path you may stroll to world-class restaurants, beaches, shopping and local amenities. Drive or take the Tofino Bus about 10 minutes south to Long Beach, the golf course and Pacific Rim National Park hiking trails.
Our popular KITCHEN GARDEN SUITE: a fully equipped, private apartment: full kitchen (self-catering), separate bedroom, full bathroom, and sitting room with TV/VCR, video & book library, sleeping 2-5 people. A spacious, comfortable setting.
The brand-new SUNSET SUITE: A private, self-contained suite, which sleeps up to 4 guests, with a private patio, kitchenette, electric fireplace, futon-couch, TV/VCR, full private bathroom, and an enclosed outdoor "surfer's" shower.
The ROSE ROOM: Perfect accommodation for a honeymoon, anniversary or any occasion. With privacy in mind, this quiet suite for 2 includes a private porch entrance, bedroom with antique brass, 4-poster queen-sized bed, ensuite bathroom, private sitting room with TV/VCR and movie collection, and kitchennette supplies.
All suites have private entrances, queen-sized beds, high-speed internet. Our friendly guest house offers all the comforts of home for families and couples visiting the coast.
