Up and across the street, is a fabulous secluded park and beach where you can view the sea life in the tide pools at low tide, do some beachcombing, and in summertime you can go swimming in the calm waters of the bay. Sea lions can often be seen here in the winter and spring months, as well you may see bald eagles, herons, and other wildlife. Beach towels and a small picnic cooler are supplied for your lunches at the beach. 
For the serious golfer, Vancouver Island’s premiere golf resort destination, Fairwinds Golf and Country Club, is only minutes away. Or if you are the mini golfing type visit the fabulous family Paradise Adventure miniature golf in Parksville.
