Campbell River is know as the "Salmon Capitol of the World. Sports fishing is something people come from all over the world to do in Campbell River. Eco tours have also become very popular whether its going whale watching or on a grizzly bear watching excursion.
Mount Washington Alpine Resort is only 30 minutes away from Campbell River. There is fabulous skiing and snowboarding in the winter. If you are a biking enthusiast there is 16 trails or 35 km of single track. Just ride the chairlift up and bike down.
How about snorkeling down the Campbell River with the Salmon?? It is an experience you will never forget. The current carries you down, past the huge chinook salmon and up and over the rocks.
