Two private, but joinable vacation rentals, Crown Suite (sleeps 8), and Canopy Suite (sleeps 6) can be rented together or separately to suit the size of your group. Joined, these suites can comfortably and affordably accommodate up to 14 guests! You will love being able to eat together in the spacious main floor kitchen, or outside with the barbecue on the back deck, which leads onto the magical back garden....

The garden in the back is extra large for the area and fully fenced in for privacy and safety for children. There is abundant outdoor seating on the back deck and on the garden patio, as well as a full size outdoor table for picnicking in the garden. There is even seating on top of the garden shed that enables one to look out over downtown Vancouver, which is particularly beautiful at night. 
 
We provide all the amenities you need to take care of yourself, and include unlimited services in our rates. There is one kitchen in each suite, fully stocked for self-catering, a laundry room, full cable television, broadband wireless internet hroughout the house, and free telephone calls! Parking is free and available on the street in front of the house. 
 
Cottonwood Gardens is located in Strathcona which is Vancouver's oldest residential neighborhood. This amazing and unique neighborhood has a sense of community that can't always be found even in a small town. An amazing example of this is that the neighbourhood was earmarked for demolition in the early 1950s as part of an urban renewal program. Strathcona would have been transformed into blocks of identical apartment buildings, but development was stopped by opposition from the community. Thanks to the strength of the community and their intense love for their neighborhood, Strathcona is still filled with late 19th and early 20th century architecture which is a relative rarity in Vancouver. Walking through the neighborhood, you will see that many houses in Strathcona are designated heritage houses, and Cottonwood Gardens is no exception. 
 
We are very fortunate to have all the best areas of Vancouver within walking distance, while still being hidden away in the quaint historic neighborhood of Strathcona. Cottonwood is only 2km from the 2010 Olympic central hub, and Downtown Vancouver. From cafés, sports and entertainment, to beaches and forests; it is all a walk away!

We make it simple so you can enjoy your holiday in this idyllic city. This is an ideal rental for pretty much any kind of travel you can imagine, from a business trip to a family holiday, we have what it takes to makes your stay in Vancouver a memorable one!  

- The kitchen is big and open, with a view of the garden. It is fully equipped with new gas range, microwave, dishwasher, and full selection of implements, so that you are set up to look after yourselves (even a coffee grinder for grinding those good beans you will find just around the corner) The spacious, open format gives a flexible space, to use as a second living or work space, or for cooking and dining for larger groups (up to 14) that wish to combine Cottonwood Canopy and Cottonwood Crown. - Although this is a self catering and self-serve vacation rental, we have 2 on-call managers that can show you around and answer any questions you might have, and attend to your needs during your stay. - We have an entry code system so that you can be sure to enter without complications with keys.

Wonderful access to everything the city of Vancouver has to offer and only a day trip away from many amazing wilderness adventures (ie. Whistler). Very close to Playland Amusement Park and within walking distance to most everything downtown has to offer. The bike path outside your doorstep leads you to Downtown Vancouver (2km away) around False Creek and English Bay (3km) to the golden beaches and huge, forested area of Stanley Park (5km), all of which are surrounded by the magnificent Rocky Mountains. The neighborhood is VERY family friendly and includes several local parks. Commercial drive, which is 15 minute walk east is loaded with good organics shops, amazing restaurants, and many cultural venues. I could go on and on! Really, the location could not be more ideal for a traveller.
