Located on 25 acres of hillside overlooking the city of Vernon and Okanagan Valley with Okanagan Lake in the distance, and only a 20-minute drive to Silver Star Mountain Resort, where you can enjoy incredible skiing, snowmobiling, skating, tubing and many other winter activities and hiking/mountain biking in the summer, with world-famous Predator Ridge golf course and several other excellent golf courses in the immediate area, as well as Kalamalka Lake (translated by the local aboriginals as "lake of many colours") and many wineries in the Okanagan, this 3-floor house totalling 5,835 square feet has the lower floor of 1,685 square feet available for vacation rental at only $1,000 Canadian/week during the summer and winter months and $750 Canadian/week during the spring and fall months. It has 9' ceilings, 2 bedrooms (sleeps 7 with one couple on queen bed in main bedroom with 3 on tween bunk beds and two more on a double bed in the other bedroom), a separate TV/playroom with sectional couch, a sitting/TV area in the 20' x 20' main bedroom, a separate living room, a well-designed kitchen, and its own yard and outdoor furniture. The property also has a sports court with basketball hoop, tons of parking, and hiking trails up the hillside which go for miles. You could possibly hire an ATV, motorbikes or horses, or simply walk for miles with the incredible valley and lake view below you. For the kids, there’s Atlantis Waterslides open from mid-June until September long-weekend, plenty of sandy beaches and great swimming and boating on Okanagan and Kal Lakes. Every weekend during the month of July there are the thoroughbred horse races at Kin Race Track, Spring through Fall stock car racing at Sun Valley Motor Speedway, and many fishing lakes in the hills within ½ hour’s drive of the house. Suppers can be prepared for you upon prior arrangement, and even weddings can be held on the property with catering possible (pictures show house set up for wedding). You can expect a feeling of luxury in this beautiful castle-like house on Vernon Hill. (Suite was rented until April 30th to long-term tenants; pictures of interior will be available late May/09. It will be ready for vacation rental June 1/09 with reservations accepted now.)

1. Davison Orchards has a petting zoo as well as delicious baked goods, fruit and vegetables grown on this 100-year-old farm.

2. Historic O'Keefe Ranch is a 25-minute drive.

3. Atlantis Waterslides (the theme park noted above) is only a 7-minute drive from the property.

4. Okanagan Lake and Kalamalka Lake are a 15-20 minute drive, where you can find all kinds of water sports and wonderful beaches.

5. Rock climbing at Ellison Park and Cougar Canyon.

6. Parachuting and gliders at Vernon Airport. Hang gliding @ King Edward.

7. Land your float plane on Swan Lake.

8. Summer activities at Silver Star.

9. Paintball.

Small weddings are possible as the suite has its own large yard, with catering possible. The sports court is available for use by vacationers, with basketball hoop for adults and a small hoop for children. 2 adults' Mountain bikes are available for rent. Homemade dinners can be arranged for an additional cost upon advance notice. Breakfast food provided for first day (self-catering).

Deposit of 25% to reserve, with remaining 75% due 30 days prior to arrival.

$500 damage deposit due upon arrival, refundable within 7 days after departure depending on a successful inspection with nothing damaged or missing.

Rental Agreement required; age limit of 25 years (or at least a responsible adult over 25 years accompanying younger adults); no smoking or partying; families welcome (baby equipment available, childrens' books and toys in suite).

4-day minimum at $150/night during high season. Shorter or longer stays considered.
