Vacation Rental Description
This quiet location is perfect for a romantic getaway or a family of 4 vacation. Its peaceful setting sits on a point surrounded by water and arbutus trees. The delux 600 sq.ft. cottage has one bedroom and a sofa bed in the main room. The living area is further expanded with 400sq.ft. of deck space, some of it under cover.  
The 'Pender Islands' are located between Vancouver and Victoria and north of the San Juan Islands. They are part of the well know 'Gulf Islands' that live under the Islands Trust mandate of 'Preserve and Protect'. The Islanders are very sensitive to their responsibility to perserve this ecologically sensitve paradise. The comfortable Mediterranean climate has 15% less rain than the mainland. 
South Pender Island is the more rural of the two islands so the majority of the services such as groceries, resturants, liquor store, weekly farmers market, bank and gas station are on North Pender. This island also has a full golf course plus a famous 27 hole disc golf course. Both islands are host to many art and craft home occupations and galleries as well as kayaking, whale watching, fishing and many excellent hiking trails in our local and National Parks. South Pender Island is the home of the new world class Poet's Cove Resort with excellent cuisine and swimming pools available to the public.
