Vacation Rental Description
Forest Cottage originally built in the 1800s was home to Forestry workers. Renovated in 2005 by it's present owners Forest Cottage provides it's guests with a warm homely and comfortable stay. A good sized kitchen well equipped for those stay in days. A log burning stove warms the cottage, with electric as an alternative. the shower and toilet are ground floor. The cottage has retained it's original stone spiral stairway, the existing stone work within the lounge has also been retained where possible. White bed linen, and towels are provided, and housekeeping for longer stays if required. Laundry service (excluding dry cleaning) is also provided if required. Standing in very pretty mature gardens of approx. 2.5 acres the cottage has all the privacy and peacefulness you might expect. Warm mornings with breakfast on the lower decking or a glass of wine in the jacuzzi on the top decking will give beautiful views across the gardens, fields then the Usk valley. Forest Cottage nestles into the Forest where walks and rambles are plentyful. Local village is Coed-Y-Paen. A ten minute drive takes you to Caerleon for Roman ruins, Raglan for it's castle. Easy routes for motorways for Cardiff, Abergavenny, Monmouth. Private access and parking for guests.
