Malabar Cove Beach House accommodation is located in Kannur, North Kerala. 
Set on a small peninsular by the Arabian Sea, the nearest road is a few minutes walk through a coconut grove, passing village houses along the way. The neighbours greet you with friendly smiles and the kids shout “hi” and giggle.  
 
To one side of the peninsular a small river flows into the sea. At low tide it is possible to walk through the river to the famous Drive-in-Beach of Muzhapilangad. This is a four kilometre beach where it is possible to drive the whole length, skimming the waves. 
 
Accommodation is simplicity with comfort and outside village life goes on. 
Fishermen go down to the sea each day with their nets and to dive for crabs. Coconuts are harvested and ladies beat their washing on the rocks. 
 
The en-suite guest rooms have twin beds (or a double bed if preferred). 
 
There are sea views from each of the guest rooms. 
 
All rooms have ceiling fans. 
 
Ground floor accommodation: 
Three twin en-suite rooms. 
One two bedroom apartment which is suitable for a family with young children. 
 
Upper floor accommodation: 
One twin en-suite room. 
One 'special' room with private sit-out and magnificent views out over the sea. 
This room has air conditioning. 
 
Lounge and dining area are available and a large kitchen where staff will cook for you - but you are also welcome in the kitchen! Breakfast is included. Other meals can be ordered from a small menu. 
 
Malabar Cove is a beautiful place to be. 
When it gets dark it is really dark and the stars are so beautiful and clear. 
 
Ayurveda and Yoga are available on request. 
Tuition in Kalaripayattu (Kerala Martial Arts). 
 
Tours of Kerala are available. 
Flights can be arranged.

Malabar Cove is a perfect place to relax and explore at your own pace. Standard ayurvedic treatments are available from qualified ayurveda staff. Treatments mainly consist of massage with special herbal oils and are given for stress relief, relaxation, rejuvenation, pampering and to alleviate aches and pains. Ayurveda for serious illness should be taken at an ayurveda hospital. Please email for details. The Beach House has a large library of talking books on cd and a large library of movies on dvd. It is recommended that a personal dvd player or laptop is taken to the house if you like to relax with a film. Ceiling fans and an air cooler are available for added comfort and there is air conditioning in the lounge. The village kids like to play cricket and they love guests to join in. This kind of therapy is priceless!

Malabar Cove in Kannur, North Kerala is a perfect hideaway.
Foreign tourists are few and the area is very natural and green.

Malabar Cove has a view over water almost like an island.
There is a narrow river to the south which divides Malabar Cove from the famous Drive-in Beach.
The river flows into the Arabian Sea and is a wonderful spot to watch the local fishermen as they navigate to the sea each day in their colourful canoe like boats.

The surroundings are village houses with local people going about their daily work.
Coconuts are harvested and ladies bash washing on their 'house rocks'.
