Beautiful and highly individual gorgeous riad hidden in an ancient alleyway of the Mouassine area of the Medina, close to Bab El Ksour (Gate of the Palaces), a 2 minute walk to the famous square Place Jemel El Fna. A quiet calm haven that has been lovingly restored with passion and approved by UNESCO. Centred around a peaceful interior patio, the riad offers 2 sitting rooms, dinning room, 4 double bedrooms, hamman, beauty/massage room, pool, satellite TV, wifi internet connection, an impeccable sun terrace complete with orange, lemon and olive trees which offers panoramic views of the Medina and the snow capped Atlas Mountains, this has white daybeds and lanterns glimmering in the sunshine. You can rent a room or the entire Riad exclusively. Breakfast is included in the courtyard garden with endless supply of tea or coffee and orange juice alongside pancakes and home made fig jam. Lunch and a candlelit dinner are available on request by the permanent cook. The riad has been featured in the book 'Living on the edge of the desert' by Massimo Listri and also recommended in Alastair Sawday's Special Places to stay in Morocco. The riad is run by an English-speaking team who also speak French and Arabic. You can sit in the peaceful courtyard watching songbirds dart between the palm trees while you contemplate whether to wind down in the hamman, have a drink or take a dip in the floodlit pool or go shopping or sightseeing. A truly peaceful romantic retreat. The housekeeper greets visitors on arrival ushering them into the petal filled courtyard. The guardian of the riad will help you with all your needs.
