An 18th century riad located in the historic Marrakech medina quartier of Sidi Ben Slimane, Dar Zaman riad in Marrakech has been renovated into a gorgeous boutique bed and breakfast. Our boutique Marrakech riad is a truly special place to stay in Marrakech (read our Trip Advisor reviews), offering a timeless world of calm, comfort and serenity, where one can relax and unwind. The friendly atmosphere and warm, welcoming staff will both charm and delight you!
Our exquisite Marrakech riad accommodation offers four uniquely designed guest rooms with heavenly queen-sized beds, en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and heating. The sitting room and dining room have open fireplaces, the perfect setting for a romantic dinner on a winter evening. A smaller chill-out lounge is equipped with satellite TV, high speed wi-fi, a small library, board games and also a laptop for those who need to stay in touch. For the hot summer months we have the coolest plunge pool in the courtyard.
The roof terrace of our Marrakech riad is a wonderful place to relax with friends, with views over the medina rooftops to the Koutoubia minaret and the stunning snow-capped High Atlas Mountains.

Facilities
- Secure paid parking with 24hr guardian is available 2 minutes from the riad. - Each bedroom is fitted with air conditioning for the summer and heating for the cooler months. - The plunge pool is a must during the hot summer months!

- Camel rides are available in the Palmeraie, a 25 minute taxi ride from the medina
- We can organise cooking classes for you, just give us advance notice so we can book them for you

- Travel Info: Marrakech riad Dar Zaman is located in a historical neighbourhood named in honour of Mohamed Ben Slimane, one of the seven saints of Marrakech. The riad is ideally situated for visiting all Marrakech attractions, and is moments away from two taxi ranks. Close to the riad you'll find numerous artisan shops and local cafés, and 10 minutes away through the ancient streets, you'll reach the main souks area, the historic Medersa Ben Youssef and the recently opened Museum of Photography (La Maison de la Photographie). We’re fortunate to have several top restaurants within minutes from the riad – Dar Yacout, Dar Moha, Dar Zellij, Café Arabe and Le Foundouk.

- Rates are per room per night based on double occupancy and include breakfast - Local tax (TS) + Tax for tourism promotion (TPT): 3€/guest/night - Extra bed in La Douiria 25€ Bookings - Deposit of 50% of total accommodation cost required to secure reservation and is due at time of booking. - The balance of the accommodation is payable on arrival and can be paid for in cash (any major currency) or by credit card. On departure, any extras should be paid for in cash. - Reservations received within 30 days of arrival require payment in full. - For whole riad bookings, a non-refundable 50% deposit is required at reservation. The remaining 50% is payable 14 days prior to arrival. CANCELLATIONS - More than 30 days before arrival - deposit refunded less 30€ - 15-30 days before arrival - 75% of the accommodation cost - Less than 15 days before arrival - 100% of the accommodation cost

Tasteful, peaceful riad, lovely place to stay

This riad is tucked away in a more residential part of the medina. It was soothing and modern, while still evoking "Moroccan" ambiance. Although the rooms are rather small and lacking in storage space, they are clean and comfortable. There are only four rooms total, so it does have a homey feel. They open up onto a charming courtyard with a small plunge pool.
The staff could not have been more attentive. They went out of their way to be helpful in the riad, and to help us negotiate the chaotic Marrakech as well. We had dinner there our first night and the food was absolutely delicious. The hard-working cook Kabira takes a lot of personal pride in making sure everything is up to her standards.
The upstairs terrace is also lovely, and an ample breakfast is served up there weather permitting. The riad was a welcome respite to return to after a hectic day of sightseeing.

Marrakech is a must. Dar Zaman is a definite. Peter is wonderful, Karibira's cooking superb, Hassan's attention is exemplary and Achraf is just so cute!. If you have not booked to visit this amazing city then you are missing something, do it now and stay in a stylish haven amongst the noisy sprawl of the fasinating Medina. You won't regret this choice and you will want to return so sample more of their fantastic hospitality. I miss them

Excellent riad and hospitality

Where to start? Everything about our stay at this riad was excellent. It is conveniently located within the bustling medina but is surprisingly quiet and peaceful. Peter, the English owner, has restored it beautifully (the plunge pool and roof terrace being great places to relax). The hospitality was superb - Kabira, the cook, prepared lovely meals at our convenience and nothing was too much trouble for either Peter, Achraf or Hassan - regardless of wherever we wanted to go or whatever we wanted to do.
We were a group of two families travelling with five children and every one of us thoroughly enjoyed our four night break at Riad Dar Zaman. Would definitely recommend it.
