Vacation Rental Description
It has 2 large Lounges, Bar area, Dining room for 8, Kitchen & 3 double Air Conditioned Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms. Situated on the northern estuary foreshore it has outstanding views and nearby beaches. It is located in a friendly small fishing village.
The Villa is complete with all clean linen and towels. A maid will visit on a twice weekly basis to change bedding and thoroughly clean the Villa. It may be possible to arrange for the maid to visit more regularly at reasonable rates to do washing, ironing and clean the Villa. Spare bedding is available.
The TV and DVD is located in the lower lounge. The kitchen has a seperate utility room with washing machine and ironing facilities. One twin bedroom and a shower room are also on the ground floor.
Upstairs is a further lounge and the bar (with refrigerator), the master bedroom suite, a further twin bedroom and master luxury bathroom. .
The balcony is well-equipped with tables and chairs on which to enjoy a cooling drink or al fresco meal. In the evening relax and listen to the water lapping against the moored boats on the river. The sunbathing deck is accessed from the balcony and provides a perfect secluded suntrap above the riverbank. Both provide magnificent views of the estuary and ocean.
The house is an ideal base for a quiet restful holiday with beautiful views across the estuary and a short boatride to wonderful beaches. It is a great base from which to explore the Island we are sure you will enjoy the your stay at the Villa as much as we do.

The well fitted user friendly Kitchen has dishwashers and a, sparate utility room, bar area, balcony with beautiful views ideal for sitting out or dining. There are 2 comfortable lounges with fans.
The ensuite bathroom also has access for use as a house bathroom

A Best Western hotel is in the village and another luxury hotels are closeby. Restaurants are available at the local hotels or in nearby towns. Additionally lunchtime restaurants and beach BBQs are on Isle au Cerfs. A local boatman will take you to and collect you from secluded beaches of Isle au Cerfs or up the river to the waterfall. On this journey you may see monkeys in the trees of the gorge, or shoals of flying fish if you are lucky. A wide range of watersports are available on Isle au Cerfs. These include parasiling, tube and banana boats. Deep sea fishing for marlin is at nearby Trou de Douce as is a small waterpark. Kayaking on the river is included. Beach barbeques or inshore fishing trips can be arranged with the local boatman. Tourist catamaran and Pirate Boats pass in front of the Villa on a daily basis.

- Nearest Airport : Mauritius airport at 30 kilometers distance;
- Nearest Train Station : Closed former line at 0.5 kilometers distance
- Travel Info: Taxi from airport along coast road 25.00 to 40.00 GBP. Car hire is expensive so taxis are better and readily available in Grand River South East.
We prefer to use taxis as they are readily available and helpful. The roads can be busy, especially if you visit Port Louis and the rules of the road are not necessarily what you might be used to. It is often better to be dropped off rather than having to search for somewhere to park
