This luxury 5* apartment is positioned on the 'Sol Melia' Tortuga Beach and Spa Resort, only a few steps from the beautiful Ponta Preta beach with its crystal clear waters and tropical beaches. As the apartment faces south, it enjoys the sunshine all day long on its private 1st floor balcony. The resort has its own restaurant, piano bar, beach bar/restaurant and private spa and gym, for use of resort clients only. It also has 2 large swimming pools with swim-up bar with sunbeds, 2 paddling pools and children's club, all situated within metres from the apartment. The resort also enjoys a secure gated community with a 24 hour concierge service as well.

The apartment has its own private 1st floor balcony (not shared) with table and 4 chairs and parasol.

Travel Info: Cape Verde is only 5.5 hours from the UK with no time difference, therefore no jet lag! The international airport is only a 10 minute taxi ride to the apartment, therefore hiring a car is not essential as most of the facilities are within walking distance. Taxis are plentiful on the resort, in Santa Maria and also at the airport.

The Holiday was perfect, we loved the place !!! We thought it is still so unspoiled which makes it even more beautiful. The apartment was wonderful and we loved the walks along the beach.

Spent a lovely 2 weeks in this apartment in November 2010, weather was sunny, warm with a fairly strong breeze at times. The apartment was excellent, tastefully furnished and in a lovely position, it also has a private balcony where most of the apartments on the resort have a shared balcony. There are 2 large swimming pools with a swim up bar and the beach is a minute away as the resort is situated right on the beach.

Santa Maria, the local town was really interesting, with loads of little local restaurants and bars, the fresh fish, court daily is to die for and reasonably priced as well. Also lots of local shops which are owned by some very friendly people. Will go back again, hopefully sooner than later. C Wardle

First time that we have self catered on holiday and really loved it. Found the apartment really spacious and well equipped, also furnished to a very high standard. Loved the pools which had loads of comfy sunbeds, met some great people around the pool area.

One of the most laid back and stress free holidays that we have had, will find it hard if we ever go back to a hotel holiday again. The owners were really helpful with any queries we had prior to booking the apartment, found their information pack with info of restaurants, bars, and things to do for the kids very useful. We will be back again. J Watts

Wonderful apartment and furnished really lovely. Huge TV in lounge and another one in the bedroom ! Nice private first floor balcony with table, chairs and parasol.
Fab position only steps from the beach and swimming pools really quite and peaceful. Would highly recommend this apartment. Also loved Santa Maria. J Holding
