Based in the north-east part of Lake Tahoe and on the eastern part of the Sierra Nevada mountain lies the beautiful town of Donner lake.
Donner lake is an 8 mile lake which leads directly into the Lake Tahoe, Donner lake is very well known for the trout population which lives in the lake, especially rainbow and brown trout which are both available from the local markets - handy if you fancy a night in in one of the lovely family orientated cabins.
Donner lake is sandwiched in-between the privately owned holiday homes in Northstar and Tahoe Donner where we have many self catering cabins.
Lake Donner is also well known for it's national park, which you can enjoy all throughout the year with lots to do including: skiing, snowboarding, boating, fishing, water skiing, wind surfing, hiking, mountain biking, swimming and if you fancy you can always camp out at one of the 154 camp sites, and enjoy some picnicking at the same time.
