Sant Pere Pescador Vacation Rentals

The town of Sant Pere Pescador is a wonderful place to spend a holiday. It is blessed with over 6 kilometres of sandy beaches on which to while away the long sunny, summer days. The town is home to accomodation of all sorts from camping through wonderful villas on the beach. Sant Pere Pescador has a long history and some of the first historical references can be traced back to the 10th Century at which time it was owned by the monastry of Sant Pere de Rodes. The town even has its own castle St Pere which dates to the 14th century. The marshes around the town were drained 200 years ago to provide land for farming and led to an icrease in population in the area. It is set in a beautiful alndscape, bordered by the River Fluvi and one of the most beautiful bays in the Mediterranean. There are numerous orchards surrounding and it trul is an idyllic setting to spend a self-catering holiday. This part of the Costa Brava is quite spectacular for those who like a holiday rental of the main tourist track and Sant Pere Pescador provided a great base to get out and explore the area.
