Matagorda: a very peaceful, relaxed town with 6km of dark sand beaches.

A great place to enjoy a relaxing family holiday, especially in one of our short term rental properties, because you have the chance to get yourself involved with the activities during the day you can come back, put your feet up and chill out and have a nice home made meal from the fresh, local foods from the local markets.

Or if you still want to carry on through the night then you can always head out to Puerto Del Carmen where we have other self catering apartments which is a lot livelier at night with many restaurants, bars and clubs to choose from and is only a mile away.

Or you can head out to one of the many privately owned villas in Costa Teguise, which is a big hot spot resort for the kids.

As Matagorda is another coastal town, and happens to be an old fishing town, there has to be a big collection of water sports available. The town is very up to date, with it offering deep sea fishing, jet skiing, para-sailing, scuba diving and banana boat rides. Or if you prefer you can just stick to the land activities which include tennis, golf, horse riding, squash.

You can always check out one of many wild life parks and go through the camel safari, there is the Timanfaya national park. Also the resort is home to La Geria vineyard so you can always try a bit of wine tasting.

So if action, relaxation and adventure seems like your kind of thing then this is certainly the place for you.
