Pontivy Vacation Rentals

Pontivy is a typical French medium sized town. It has the River Blavet running through its centre and a Royan Chateau at the north end of the town. It has one main street off which the shops and cafes provide the atmosphere. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, shops, a couple of supermarkets and 2 swimming pools, one of which is open air. Market day is on Monday and is held in the main square.
The town has a relaxed atmosphere, very French and is a good place to wander around. The river flows gentle through and provides good walks and boat rides. You can fish anywhere along the river, but you need to buy a permit. Following along the river banks you will pass through lovely rolling countryside as well as small villages where you can hire canoes and buy a cooling beer.
