Languedoc-Roussillon, Aude is enviously within touching distance of the
Pyrenees and the Mediterranean Sea. There is a multitude of landscapes that can be enjoyed throughout Aude, ranging from expansive mountain tops to colourful coastline.
Aude is also buoyed by its glorious Mediterranean climate. With warm and humid summers and minimal rainfall, the Aude coastline makes the perfect destination for a beach vacation staying in a holiday home or traditional French gite. It is however very susceptible to strong winds, with between 300 to 350 days of the year affected.
The vineyards of local Aude are crucial to the local economy and this leads to the region developing some fine French wines. In a common trend across
France, this area is also very proud of its gastronomic traditions. Taste sumptuous, local favourites from cassoulet to fresh Gruissan and Leucate oysters.
