A Coruna high on the rugged northwestern Atlantic coast, is an impressive modern city, however its medieval quarter is still extensive. The port and sea front area is crammed with some of the best seafood restaurants and bars in Spain.
Santiago de Compostela This cathedral city is one of the most beautiful in Spain, the Cathedral itself is spectacular and the flagstone streets and arcades are enchanting.
Cape Finisterre named by the Romans as they believed it to be most westerly point on earth, true of Europe but not the world of course. Here you have the most fantastic views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Rias Baixes Inlets that resemble fjords, here you will find fishing villages and sandy beaches at every turn. The worlds finest mussels are cultivated in the rias.
Pimientos de Padron little green sweet peppers fried in oil and sprinkled with sea salt, but look out,1 in 10 is as hot as a chili, a bit like Russian roulette on a plate.

Baiona a lovely old seaside town on the Portuguese border.
Cambados - this lovely sleepy town is the home of Albarino wine, were better to taste it than the Praza de Fefinanes, a beautiful paved square bordered by wonderful buildings, a seventeenth century church and an interesting bodega.
O Grove and A Toxa - O Grove is a traditional fishing village that has grown, with lots of bars, restaurants and places to stay, it still retains it's working port feel. Try a trip on one of the glass bottom boats and find out more about the ria and the mussel rafts, or cross over the bridge to the pine covered islet of A Toxa, playground of the rich and famous, here you will find expensive hotels and restaurants even a 9 hole golf course.
Isles of Ons & Cies - reached by boat from Sanxenxo or Portonovo, these beautiful islands are wild and windswept, there are wonderful tracks to walk with stunning views of the coast. Ons is home to a community of fishermen, there are a couple of bars and restaurants, and if you want to stay you can camp for free. Cies - is a sun worshipers paradise with the most gorgeous beaches.
A Lanzada - packed with sunbathers in summer and surfers in winter This massive beach is the biggest in the region, and only one of hundreds to enjoy, Don't miss the beach at San Vicente, which boasts a fantastic beach bar and wood burning grill called bar Tango
Combarro - is famous for having the largest collection of Hórreos (traditional grain stores),in Gallicia. Cross the Plaza and cut through the gap in the rocks, and you will discover a smugglers paradise of old buildings, bars, restaurants and small cobbled streets. Just perfect for an atmospheric walk .
