Zell is on the Moselle and is a world famous wine town. A visit to a wine grower, and some wine tasting, is a must during your holiday. You can enjoy cycle trips along the Moselle or walks through the mountain vineyards. Vineyards extend for miles along both sides of the valley, clinging to steep, stony hillsides. Vines gently scramble from one house-front to another in the town’s ancient streets. Today, Zell is an ideal spot in which to relax & savour the true character of the Moselle region and its people; a genuine working wine-town unspoilt by mass tourism. Its promenade running beside the calm & level waters of the Moselle create an atmosphere that refreshes body and spirit. From the medieval city walls are two preserved towers. The square tower "in Zeller Bachtalen and the" round tower "at the cemetery above the town, which are a foreground for panoramic shots of Zell and offers wonderful views. You can also take a wagon trip up through the vineyards enjoying the local wine as you watch the scenery go by. . . . . and, of course, wandering to your heart’s content over vine-clad hillsides.
