Kailua-Kona Vacation Rentals

The perfect home base for exploring the big island of Hawaii. The weather on this side of the island is the best; usually mid 80's and most likely to be sunny, although lately the afternoons have been hazing over.
Old town Kailua-Kona has that classic resort feel of a seaside village with lots of restaurants and night life. There is shopping for South Sea Pearls as well as art and and glassware and something for every budget.
There is excellent snorkelling and body surfing, surfing or even nice beaches right here in town and along the way to Keauhou along Ali'i Drive. From "Kona town" you are 2 hours from Hawaii Volcano National Park. You are 2 hours to the old Hawaii town of Hilo, through the ranching town of Waimea and the dramatic cliffs along the Hamakua Coast.
There are great beaches to explore within easy driving distance from Kona. Charter a boat for a fishing trip from Kona, or take a tour up to the observatory on the top of Mauna Loa or actually ski on it's slopes. I could go on and on about all of the things to explore on this island. I have been exploring it for over 30 years and always find something new. .
