An ideal spot from which to take full advantage of all that the Vale of Glamorgan and Southern Wales has to offer from golf to shopping, castles to coves, fun for the kids to a romantic dinner for two. An excellent alternative for the travel weary business person looking for comfort and a warm welcome.

The roman market town of Cowbridge lies at the heart of the Vale and has many small, independent shops selling everything from gifts to spa days, plus many delightful restaurants, pubs and tearooms.

Great walking and hiking both rural, and coastal. Golf on championship and links courses there are in excess of 45 courses in the region, horse riding through the lanes or on the beaches, cycling both road and mountain with the extreme biking trails of Cwmcarn only 40 minutes away. Shopping to suit all tastes, fine dining and pub grub. Adventure activities and fun days out. The wonderful Brecon Beacons National Park just 40 minutes away (why not climb a mountain?).

The history of the area abounds, with castles and churches to visit. The wonderful (and free) Welsh Folk Museum is an outdoor experience not to be missed. Public gardens and the vibrant offerings of the cosmopolitan, capital city of Cardiff. Great theatres, concerts and sporting events. The redeveloped bay area has turned the old coal exporting port of Cardiff into a delightful area to wander, dine or take a cruise around the bay.

The impressive Heritage Coast with its cliff top walks and myriad of sandy and pebbled coves should not be missed. The second highest tidal flow (after the Bay of Fundy in Canada) creates a new landscape at each ebb and flow, providing the visitor with an ever changing scene..
