Calibishie Vacation Rentals

Calibishie is located on the Northeast coast of Dominica where the trade winds provide a constant cool and refreshing breeze. The village itself is known for its happy people and hospitality. Small restaurants and grocers are available in the village. The entire area is protected from the strong Atlantic surf by a barrier reef that has allowed the growth of many beautiful beaches. Many of these beaches are surrounded by red rock cliffs that provide for some fabulous photographic images. The water is crystal clear and snorkeling is great. Many of the beaches have small rivers and creeks that cut through beach to reach the Atlantic. These rivers coming down from the rainforest are clear and cold and wonderful for a relaxing "river bath." Just inland there are many trails and waterfalls with hiking from leisurely to "only for those with strong legs and hearts."

Calibishie is the place to relax and forget the rest of the world exists. Dominica and Calibishie is like the Caribbean was 40 years ago, before high rises, fast food and thousands of tourists.
