Venice Beach Vacation Rentals

Venice Beach is located on the west side of Los Angeles County and is part of the City of Los Angeles. Daytime temperatures tend to range from mid 70's in the summer to mid 60's in the winter. Venice has a wonderful, moderate climate - virtually always sunny and never too hot or cold.

Get a henna tattoo or have your fortune read while strolling through the shops and crafts sold on the boardwalk of Ocean Front Walk.
There are plenty of places to rent a bike or rollerblades so you can bicycle up to Malibu or down to Torrance. The bike trail stretches 22 miles, the longest beach path of its kind in the world!
From the 1310 foot concrete Venice Pier, located at the end of Washington Boulevard, you can watch seagulls and herons, or watch the surfers ride the tide below.
Venice has been used as a location for hundreds of television shows and dozens of movies. You can often catch a film crew on one of the streets or nearby parking lots. Many celebrities, artists and musicians call Venice home. Some well-known Venice landmarks include the the Ballerina Clown, the Venice Canals, the Traffic Circle with it's prominent Robert Graham statue, the "Binocular" Chiat Day building by Frank Gehry, murals such as one of Jim Morrison, The original Abbot Kinney inspired Colonnade, the charming walk streets, and creative mosaics in both commercial and residential buildings.
Neighboring Attractions: Venice is bordered by beautiful Marina Del Rey to the south, and Santa Monica to the north. In Marina Del Rey, you can go on a dinner cruise, take sailing lessons, go whale watching or learn to windsurf. Perhaps a private gondola ride around the marina and Fisherman's Village, or go kayaking or even sport fishing. There are all sorts of recreational boating activities in nearby Marina Del Rey.
Just north of Venice is scenic Santa Monica where you can stroll through the world famous Third Street Promenade and watch the street performers or eat at one of the many wonderful restaurants. Shop or people watch or look for celebrities along 3 "pedestrian only" blocks surrounded by world class shops and restaurants.
Visit the fun Santa Monica Pier with amusements at the admission free Pacific Park http://www.pacpark.com/ where you can see the brand new solar powered ferris wheel with 160,000 energy-efficient LED lights! Test your skills at one of the many games. Or let the kids ride the historic Carousel on the pier which has been used in multiple film, TV and photo shoots. Built in 1916, it is listed in the National Registry of Historic Places.
Greater Location Attractions: Downtown Los Angeles is approximately 14 miles from Venice. In downtown you can see a concert at the Frank Gehry designed Disney Concert Hall http://www.laphil.com/ home to the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Beverly Hills with it's exclusive Rodeo Drive shops are just over 7 miles away. Hollywood is about 13 miles away, with attractions such as the Kodak Theater, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and Grauman's Chinese Theater. Universal Studios and Universal City Walk are both about 12 milesaway. Six Flags Magic Mountain is about 35 miles north of Venice. Disneyland, in neighboring Orange County, is about a 34 mile drive to the southeast. Los Angeles International Airport is less than 5 miles south of Venice.
