As Maguez is on the coast this means that there are many water sports from which to take your pick, including windsurfing, kite surfing, sailing, surfing, water skiing, jet skiing, snorkelling and diving. There is also the chance to have a look at the amazing scenery which Maguez has to offer, from taking one of the mountain walks or even going mountain biking all of which are great family activities.

If you want some relaxing site-seeing then why not head through the Guinate tropical bird park, which is home to 30 different species of birds including penguins, flamingos, hornbills, macaws, finches,toucans and owls to name a few. The park is also home to other reptiles and animals including meerkats, otters, coatis, wallaby's and provost squirrels and many others.

There are also other local towns which are easy to get to including some private villas in Arrieta, which is a very private area with many other water and adventurous sports.

Or you can always go down to Haria, where there are some great self catering apartments. Haria has been classed the most beautiful village on the island of Lazarote, with lots to see - especially with the valley of a thousand palms.

So when you're thinking of talking a trip to Lanzarote it's a must to be thinking Maguez.
