With many different family activities to choose from such as horse riding, tennis, snow boarding and skiing or you can take a stroll down the lake Geneva where you can do a bit of fishing if you wanted to do more of a relaxing activity so there's no reason to get board.
Burgundy is very well known for it's cheeses and wines most famously for Pinot noire(red wine) and Chardonnay ( white wine), which are the main local wines. How ever there are many other types of grapes which are grown in the region, all of which you can try at the many wine tasting festivals which include the festival of St Vincent and the Beaune wine auction which are both held through out the year. There aren't many cheese festivals held through out the year but there are many weekly cheese markets which are open all year round such as the joigny, Auxerre, Beaure, Dijon and Avallon markets, where you'll find many different types of cheese including the most famous Epoisses cheese which was first made by the Benedictine monks at the Abbaye de Fontenay in the 15th century but is now made in the Berthaunt factory in the village of epoisses from cow's milk.
