Vacation Rental Description
SAN CARLOS IS A SAFE AND SECURE LOCATION on the Sea of Cortes. This is a special little town without a single traffic light! US AIR has Daily Flights connecting in Phoenix with many U.S.A. & International Airports (to Guaymas - 10 min. away). By auto, San Carlos is only about 5 hours south of Tucson via a 4 lane divided highway(Free Zone - no car permit required & 7 days free visas - passports required). Car rentals (Enterprise, etc.) are available with Mexico driving insurance at the airport in Tucson less than an hour to the border. Your condo is located directly on the San Carlos Marina, with just about everything you need at your doorstep. Our guests have 2 exclusive swimming pools with palms, palapas, and lush gardens. The lobby has an ATM and a front desk for arranging private parking across the street (optional). The adjacent, new "Chocolate Spa and Salon" of Paris, Las Vegas, and San Carlos has opened. Restaurants and many services are RIGHT ON THE MARINA!
This distinctive condo sits atop the Marina Terra complex overlooking the largest natural marina in Mexico. The upper level is entirely dedicated to two large, very comfortable suites with marble bathrooms and stunning views.
The King Suite features hand carved Mexican furniture and a large balcony overlooking the Marina. The Queen Suite has unique sun and moon carvings with views of San Carlos, the Sierra Madre Mountains, and the Sea of Cortes. The downstairs Guestroom contains 2 twin beds conveniently adjacent to the guest bathroom.
The kitchen includes hand painted Mexican tiles and top-of-the-line appliances. The pleasant living room features carved Mexican furniture, breathtaking views, and the amenities to make your stay comfortable (including WiFi and Cable Television) You also have a propane grill on your balcony.
There are many beautiful, sandy beaches to choose from in San Carlos: San Francisco Beach, Algodones Beach, and La Posada Beach, with casual restaurants right on the beach.
The marina has everything you need to enjoy the Sea of Cortes from fishing charters to "snorkeling with the sea lions". The Sea of Cortes is one of the richest and most abundant locations of sea life in the world. The neon-blue, pristine waters of the Sea of Cortes have whales, dolphins, giant squid, and an amazing number of fish species. Sport fishing (marlin, dorado, yellowtail) and wildlife tours are very popular. Everything is at your doorstep on the Marina!
Facilities
This condominium is comfortable and clean. The washer and dryer are available for your use as is the gas grill on the balcony. There is a table and chairs for 4 people and the kitchen bar seats 2 people. Both marina-side balconies have tables and chairs in which to eat, relax, and enjoy the spectacular view. An elevator from the drive-up lobby entrance takes you to the top floor of your condo. There are 2 televisions in the condo for your pleasure.
Activities
San Carlos Marina centers around water activites, boating, and the marina. Bike rentals are also available at the Marina along with just about everything else related to the sea. People come from many areas to enjoy the Sea of Cortes activities, but of course, there is the Mexican culture to enjoy. The neighboring town of Guaymas is a more traditional Mexican town with an array of businesses and services not found in San Carlos. Guaymas is also known as a premier shrimping area in Mexico. Local bus service is available just outside the lobby which goes directly to Guaymas and other San Carlos locations for about 8 pesos (less than a dollar) each way.

John,I just wanted to say thank you for allowing us to stay in your wonderful condo in possibly the best true vacation spot on the planet. We needed to get away and rest and this was the perfect place to do it. Your condo is very clean and comfortable and being so close to the marina, it was a true treat. The only downside to our whole trip was that we chose to drive down..... The next time we come, we are flying! The roads are great and we had no problems at all but it took us 9 hours each way to drive it and that was a bit much for only having a week to enjoy this beautiful paradise. Flying will definItely be a big plus! LOL. Thank you again.

John, we had a great time, the condo was perfect and we loved it. All four guys felt really confortable. The views from the place are spectacular and we plan on coming down again. We had a ball eating fresh crab taco’s, drinking margaritas on the beach, fishing on the Catch 22, snorkeling and dining out at the numerous restaurants. It was great to be in the same building as the main hotel in San Carlos and we used many of the services they offered, like ice and the fabulous swimming pools. Thanks again for the hospitality. Dan

We had a great stay, condo is well set up and maintained, people in main hotel were helpful and friendly. We had stayed at Bahia Delfin before, but since my wife is not a diver, she liked your condo better because the location allowed her to roam about while my daughter and I were diving. Service was great, keys were there and ready for us. Ron

One of the best kept secrets in Mexico!
We didn't come to San Carlos to buy a condo on the marina. We stayed at the Marina Terra to look at another complex on the beach. It is a beautiful beach with some ideally placed condos, so we drove out 5 miles to see them while staying at the marina.
The problem was that everything we wanted to do was at the marina, except for going to the beach! We walked to restaurants, chatted in local markets, went on fishing charters, snorkeled with the sea lions, and basically spent all of our time near the marina, except for going to one of the 3 excellent beaches. So, we started looking at properties at the marina with the spectacular view of an ancient, extinct volcano, Mt. Tetakawi, looming mysteriously in the background.
As soon as we looked at the view from the condo, we were hooked. This was THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VIEW IN SAN CARLOS! We looked at other areas, other condos, houses, including the beach condos, often. Nothing compared to the amazing view, the location, and the condo itself. My wife and I found a local realtor who worked and worked all summer until we finally secured the place we wanted.
Many, many improvements and a few years later, we now have a spectacular condo with an unbeatable view in a perfect location. And then, we discovered that the view isn't only from the the living room balcony and the King Suite balcony, the Queen Suite balcony also has views of the Sea of Cortes, amazing sunrises, and the little town of San Carlos. We would like to stay in San Carlos for months on end, but we still work hard at other jobs. So, we have expert property managers take care of the day to day workings of renting our condo in San Carlos.
We are thrilled whenever we come to San Carlos, and we hope you will be, too! Enjoy yourself for a weekend, a week, or perhaps a month. We know you won't be disappointed.
